We’ve always been inspired by vintage design and the glamorous fashion of the 1920s. With the new Great Gatsby movie coming out this year, and the popularity of Downton Abbey, we wanted to create some wedding designs that would celebrate and commemorate the best parts of that time period!

Weddings are incredibly personal events and we love it when couples incorporate aspects unique to themselves and their culture into the day. This was the case for Alison + Masa.

Alison + Masa wanted to include elements that reflected Masa’s Japanese heritage without being cheesy. We wanted a design that balanced the cultural aspects and the feel of the wedding venue but also fun and modern.

Our featured invitation design today is this lovely invitation by Yuling Designs, based in New York! Yuling says:

Oh, I’m so excited to finally show you all Logan and Andrew’s wedding! In our initial phone chat, Logan mentioned that she really wanted to incorporate two things into her wedding: a classic square pattern she saw on a rug (yes! inspiration comes from anywhere!), and of course, her favorite color purple.
