Winter Wedding Favor Collection by My Bride Fairy (1)

These super cute winter wedding favors come to us from Meg of My Bride Fairy, based in Toronto, ON! Here’s Meg to tell us more:

Winter weddings are as rare and beautiful as a snow-white unicorn. Many brides and grooms like to say “I do,” in the warmer months, but there are those few that see the beauty and elegance that comes with a wintertime celebration: the snow-draped cities, the colors (berry reds, warm crimson, sparkling gold, evergreen), the anticipation of the holidays.

Tell us a bit about yourself and your company.

My name is Elizabeth Parr and I am a 23 year old college student. Meet a Wedding Vendor in New York, NY: Bloomerent (1)

Today’s wedding vendor interview is with Danit Zamir of Bloomerent, a unique company that offers couples an eco-friendly and budget-friendly way to include fresh cut flowers in their wedding! Enjoy:

Tell us a bit about yourself and your company.

I started my career in sports news and shifted to startups shortly after. I valued things that were only possible in a more intimate environment, things like being part of a great culture and my work making an immediate impact in the growth of a company. Starting a business wasn’t something I sought out to do, but after my own experience running into a problem with no viable solution, Bloomerent was born. Bloomerent is a sharing platform for wedding flowers. We refer brides and grooms to florists with the end goal of sharing their centerpieces with another wedding or event in the same weekend. Flowers last for days, even weeks, when taken care of properly and look even more beautiful days into their lifespan because they are fully bloomed. Our mission is to reduce waste and cost for floral arrangements without sacrificing quality. Bloomerent isn’t only for weddings, it’s meant for anyone hosting any event who wants to share in the spirit of going green and giving back.

Meet a Wedding Vendor in Greenville, SC: Travel Planners Honeymoons (3)

Today’s interview is with Ariail Siggins of Travel Planners Honeymoons, based in Greenville, SC! Enjoy:

Tell us a bit about yourself and your company.

Travel Planners Honeymoons is a luxury travel agency based in the Carolina’s but servicing the South East and beyond. We are a third generation, owned and operated company with over 35 years in the business. Our goal is to create one-of-a-kind honeymoons, destination weddings, and special getaways for our client’s by offering individualized service. We have extensive knowledge of the travel industry and can help guide our client’s from the initial idea all the way to booking and the final trip. People wonder all the time how we stay open with online booking options these days, but what we’ve learned is that once you experience booking with an agency and having that level of customer service you will never go back. We are available 24/7 during the trip in case anything comes up, we don’t want our clients to ever feel like they are having to handle something alone.

We have been booking the Upstate for the past 35 plus years, but have recently decided to start working with the wedding industry because we feel like we have something to offer it. True luxury travel agencies that can offer the hands on customer service we can are hard to come by these days. I am the current marketing director and handle all marketing efforts and new business – as well as being the third generation of the family working in the company. I did my undergraduate at Clemson and my Masters at Savannah College of Art and Design so I feel like I can blend my business knowledge and understanding of the design industry to accurately place our company in the market. I keep office hours at our location in Greenville, SC but spend roughly 10 days a month traveling to visit new properties and learning more about locations we book.

Meet a Wedding Ring Designer in Seattle, WA: Emma Parker & Co. (7)

Today’s wedding vendor interview is with Tim Andre of Emma Parker & Co., based in Seattle, Washington! Enjoy:

Tell us a bit about yourself and your company.

We started Emma Parker & Co. to be a completely different kind of jewelry retailer. Our focus was to make the experience as meaningful as the purchase. Having worked in traditional jewelry retail, I knew exactly what the jewelry industry lacked…a fully customer driven experience. Simply put, we wanted to provide our customers with the most amazing, enjoyable, and pressure free buying experience possible, the highest quality of products, and the best customer service (by far),  all priced reasonably without big store markups.

The philosophy we operate on is very simple: “At the end of the day, we are consumers too. We have to go out and shop for the things that we need and want everyday, just like our customers. We are looking to get good value, and to be well treated at the stores we shop, and that is the attitude that we show to our customers every single day. We treat every purchase as if WE were the customer. If we sell a great product, but deliver a poor experience, how are we helping our customer? Likewise, if we provide exceptional service and experience, but deliver a poor product, we are not caring for our customers the way we would want to be cared for in their position.”

Behind the Scenes of the Charleston Bridal Show (8)

Today we’re joined by Kathy Baxley-Stewart of The Charleston Bridal Show. Kathy is going to give us a behind the scenes peak of the show and share her experience in putting a bridal show together! Enjoy:

I’m Kathy Baxley-Stewart. I have owned and produced The Charleston Bridal Show since 2007. I actually came to own this business sort of on a fluke, as I like to say. I previously was the Event and Teaching Ministries Coordinator for a large church here in Charleston. I organized many meetings, picnics, bbq’s, retreats, etc. as well as secured the curriculum for the adult Sunday School classes of the church. Starting to feel as though I was being called to do something more, I had a friend that mentioned to me that she had seen a wedding business listed in the local newspaper that was for sale.

Wedit_True Photography Weddings

Today’s wedding vendor interview is with Sarah Brithinee, the CEO of Wedit, and innovative company that specializes in DIY wedding videography! Enjoy:

Tell us a bit about yourself and your company.

I was born and raised in Michigan, but spent 5 years in Los Angeles studying and working in the fashion industry. I moved back in 2011 and was hired to do the marketing for Wedit. Both of my parents own their own businesses so being the first hire on the Wedit team was really exciting to me. I always knew I was meant to be an entrepreneur; it was just a matter of time. In 2012 I took over Wedit and became the CEO. It was an opportunity I knew I couldn’t turn down. In the past 3 years I’ve learned so much about running a business, being a leader, surrounding yourself with the right people, and being true to yourself, your product, and your clients. I’ve built the culture of Wedit to be one where every person on the team enjoys coming to work. That might be the thing I’m most proud of.

Wedit is a DIY wedding video company where the guests take fun and candid footage using 5 handheld cameras we send to them. When the cameras are returned to us, we upload all of the footage in an online account and also offer editing services.
