Meet a Wedding Vendor in Boulder, CO: ForTheMaids (5)

Today’s wedding vendor interview is with jewelery designer Auri Penner of ForTheMaids, based in Boulder, Colorado! Enjoy:

Tell us a bit about yourself and your company.

Hello! My name is Auri and my husband Andrew and I opened our For The Maids jewelry shop about 3 years ago. We were just graduating from college when we decided that we wanted to start our own business. I had just recently taken up jewelry-making as a hobby — learning from YouTube tutorials and experimenting with craft store beads. I had another jewelry shop called Powder & Jade (which is still alive and kicking!) and I noticed I got several requests for bridesmaid jewelry. Around the same time, one of my friends from high school asked if I could make some earrings for her bridesmaids for her upcoming wedding. Needless to say, we recognized the need for customizable bridesmaid jewelry that could be given as a gift and so For the Maids was born!

Frida

This diverse collection of elegant and on-trend wedding websites comes to us from Riley & Grey. Such beautiful work! Here’s Marissa, founder of Riley & Grey, to tell us more:

I think what we’re most excited about with the new collection is that we captured some really popular and traditional wedding themes, but in a new way. For example, we get tons of requests for vineyard themes. That’s a tricky one, because there are only so many ways you can draw a wine bottle and grapes.

I like the gourmet still-life approach we took because it’s also something you can’t really do on paper, so it’s perfect for your website. And it really brings in the foodie element that most vineyard weddings have too. Another example is the bohemian theme. I’m really proud of the way our team managed to take something like tie dye, which can get really cheese-y, really fast and elevate it so that it could even work for a black-tie boho wedding. Beach is another theme where the umbrella and sand toy imagery that comes to mind first isn’t really what people want for their wedding. I think the subtle waves in our Surf design get people excited for a beach destination without overwhelming the wedding’s brand.

Today’s wedding vendor interview is with Chris Bajda  of Groovy Groomsmen Gifts, based in Stamford, Connecticut. Enjoy!

Tell us a bit about yourself and your company.

Mike and I are two brothers, both ex athletes with families.   We both love being part of a team and always wanted to do something together.  So about 4 years ago, we launched Groovy Groomsmen Gifts, a comprehensive one stop shop that gives grooms all the gift options they’ll need and some really good content around important things to think about as a groom approaches what is one of the biggest days of their lives.  We often see the groomsmen gift giving component overlooked given there is a whirl of other wedding details out there, but ultimately, are the flowers more important than how you appreciate some of the most important people in your life?

Winter Wedding Favor Collection by My Bride Fairy (1)

These super cute winter wedding favors come to us from Meg of My Bride Fairy, based in Toronto, ON! Here’s Meg to tell us more:

Winter weddings are as rare and beautiful as a snow-white unicorn. Many brides and grooms like to say “I do,” in the warmer months, but there are those few that see the beauty and elegance that comes with a wintertime celebration: the snow-draped cities, the colors (berry reds, warm crimson, sparkling gold, evergreen), the anticipation of the holidays.

Meet a Wedding Vendor in New York, NY: Bloomerent (1)

Today’s wedding vendor interview is with Danit Zamir of Bloomerent, a unique company that offers couples an eco-friendly and budget-friendly way to include fresh cut flowers in their wedding! Enjoy:

Tell us a bit about yourself and your company.

I started my career in sports news and shifted to startups shortly after. I valued things that were only possible in a more intimate environment, things like being part of a great culture and my work making an immediate impact in the growth of a company. Starting a business wasn’t something I sought out to do, but after my own experience running into a problem with no viable solution, Bloomerent was born. Bloomerent is a sharing platform for wedding flowers. We refer brides and grooms to florists with the end goal of sharing their centerpieces with another wedding or event in the same weekend. Flowers last for days, even weeks, when taken care of properly and look even more beautiful days into their lifespan because they are fully bloomed. Our mission is to reduce waste and cost for floral arrangements without sacrificing quality. Bloomerent isn’t only for weddings, it’s meant for anyone hosting any event who wants to share in the spirit of going green and giving back.

Meet a Wedding Vendor in Greenville, SC: Travel Planners Honeymoons (3)

Today’s interview is with Ariail Siggins of Travel Planners Honeymoons, based in Greenville, SC! Enjoy:

Tell us a bit about yourself and your company.

Travel Planners Honeymoons is a luxury travel agency based in the Carolina’s but servicing the South East and beyond. We are a third generation, owned and operated company with over 35 years in the business. Our goal is to create one-of-a-kind honeymoons, destination weddings, and special getaways for our client’s by offering individualized service. We have extensive knowledge of the travel industry and can help guide our client’s from the initial idea all the way to booking and the final trip. People wonder all the time how we stay open with online booking options these days, but what we’ve learned is that once you experience booking with an agency and having that level of customer service you will never go back. We are available 24/7 during the trip in case anything comes up, we don’t want our clients to ever feel like they are having to handle something alone.

We have been booking the Upstate for the past 35 plus years, but have recently decided to start working with the wedding industry because we feel like we have something to offer it. True luxury travel agencies that can offer the hands on customer service we can are hard to come by these days. I am the current marketing director and handle all marketing efforts and new business – as well as being the third generation of the family working in the company. I did my undergraduate at Clemson and my Masters at Savannah College of Art and Design so I feel like I can blend my business knowledge and understanding of the design industry to accurately place our company in the market. I keep office hours at our location in Greenville, SC but spend roughly 10 days a month traveling to visit new properties and learning more about locations we book.
