Meet a Wedding Vendor in Portland, OR: Picshare Party (5)

Today’s wedding vendor interview is with Jeremy Senn, Developer and Creator of Picshare Party, based in Portland, OR! Enjoy:

Tell us a bit about yourself and your company.

As a Ruby on Rails full-stack developer that likes photography and getting down at weddings, I realized that the typical wedding picture sharing process is broken and needed to be “debugged”. Typically, there are three ways brides and grooms try and gather the pictures that their guests take at their wedding:

  • Text friends and family directly asking for any pictures after the wedding.
  • Try and convince everyone attending their wedding to download and install a phone app before the wedding, then post pictures via the app during.
  • Place disposable cameras around the wedding venue and hope that people will contribute.

Simply Foxhall Wedding Fair and Workshop (1)

Simply Foxhall Wedding Fair and Workshop (11)

Holly of Holly Von Lanken Photography, LLC (Atlanta, Georgia) shared this lovely wedding fair with us and we’re so glad she did! It’s absolutely brimming with impeccable wedding details. Here’s Holly to tell us more:

This workshop is the brain child of Nicole with Simply Catering. She had the idea for vendors to get together and showcase their talents for brides while also providing them with education. The afternoon was full of beautiful decor, delicious food, and tips from vendors anywhere from how to save your top tier of your wedding cake to cooking and floral demonstrations. It was the first of hopefully many “Simply” workshops for brides with so many amazing and talented vendors.

I have won Top in Referrals multiple times in my region, as well as the country. I’ve trained under Dancing with the Stars’ Tony Dovolani and Fabian Sanchez as well as National 9-Dance Champion, Sergei Shapoval.

Meet a Wedding Jeweler in San Francisco, CA: Kelly Morgen Jewelry (4)

Today’s interview is with jewelry designer Kelly Morgen, Owner of Kelly Morgen Jewelry, based in San Francisco, CA!

Tell us a bit about yourself and your company.

I have been bringing stories to life since 2005! I create each of my unique goddess necklaces using the ancient techniques of the Italian masters, with whom I studied in Florence. Every piece tells a empowering story of love, passion, creativity, healing, and more. Much like talismans of old, my necklaces are designed to be worn throughout the course of your life, lending strength and inspiration to your expression of you. I also bring my training with a Cherokee shaman and silversmith to my art, wedding a legacy of fine craftsmanship to healing intention. I use a traditional jeweler’s hand-saw and flame torch, as well as the maritime art of scrimshaw to carve my goddesses’ faces onto recycled piano keys. My work has been featured in international art magazine Ornament as well as fine art galleries worldwide, celebrity collections, and the Russell-Cotes Museum in England. I was officially licensed in 2015 by the Mucha family to carry on the art nouveau style of Alphonse Mucha, the father of the Art Nouveau movement.
