Every couple wants to feel on top of the world on their wedding day, but one adventurous couple took this very literally by tying the knot on… Mt. Everest! Yep, the tallest mountain in the world…. definitely not-your-average nuptials, right? Plus, they managed to pull it all off in full wedding getup and everything. Well, one thing’s for sure… you’re guaranteed one heck of a wedding photo album (pics here, in case you’re curious!) to look back on. Mountain weddings, in general, are amazing. The picture above is actually from a stunning mountaintop winter wedding shared on WeddingLovely a couple of years ago. Enjoy:

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! Sorry, couldn’t resist… really though, there’s nothing sweeter than a yummy dessert station at a wedding.

Well, now, you can say “yes” to the … ice cream? This week Blue Bell introduced a Bride’s Cake flavor, and re-introduced their 09′ Groom’s Cake flavor, sure to delight couples looking for an alternative to the traditional wedding cake.

What exactly is it? The Bride’s Cake is almond ice cream with white cake pieces surrounded by a rich amaretto cream cheese icing swirl, while the Groom’s Cake is chocolate ice cream with chocolate cake pieces, chocolate-coated strawberry hearts plus swirls of strawberry sauce and chocolate icing.

Uh, sounds delish.

You may have seen a pregnant bride walk down the aisle, but what about pregnant bridesmaid(s). Yep, plural! Not one, not two, not three, but all five of this bride’s gals were in their third trimester on her big day. Wow :O Heather handled it all with grace, however, tackling dress fitting challenges and making sure all of her lovely ladies were healthy and comfortable. As for the bachelorette party, the ladies still managed to rock out till the wee hours of the morning, proving you can have a blast without alcohol!

While it’s certainly not uncommon to see a couple’s four-legged friend at their wedding (after all, they’re members of the family too, right?) you may be surprised to find that the bridesmaids’ bouquets have been swapped out for eight adorable puppies. Well, this Charlotte bridal party did exactly that and the Internet is going crazy over it. Cuteness overload! Not only did it make for some seriously sweet wedding photos, but it’s helping spread awareness to a cause close to bride’s heart – pet adoption. We’re loving it!

This week has certainly been a victory for all of you nonconformists and lovers of different out there. Join us in celebrating with this transgender bride who made history as the first to appear on the popular reality TV series Say Yes to The Dress. The LGBTQ community weren’t the only one’s celebrating this week, however, as one Tamil bride dared to step outside South East Asian traditions by rocking this saree with a slit! Whether you consider yourself an offbeat bride or are planning something out-of-the-box on your big day, be sure to share it with us in the comments below.
