Today’s wedding vendor interview is with Travis Wackerly, the owner of Full Circle Melody based in Norman, Oklahoma!

Tell us about yourself and how you started.

We started out performing only live music, violin, and guitar for wedding ceremonies. About five years ago I extended those services to offer DJ and Lighting as well. We now also offer one of the most unique services on the planet called the Marriage Melody, in which we write, perform, and record a custom song for couples based off of their background story. The live music and DJ combination is still the main service that attracts couples to book us, but what we’ve expanded into makes us one of the most unique businesses in the industry today.

Meet a Wedding DJ in Chantilly, VA: Generation C Entertainment (7)

Today’s wedding DJ interview is with Omari Fennell, Owner of Generation C Entertainment! Enjoy:

Tell us about yourself and how you started playing.

I started DJing back in 2006. That year, my church put on an event and hired a DJ to play music. That DJ was terrible and played the same songs over and over again. He played music that he liked and disregarded the crowd’s preferences. From that experience, I realized that there was a need for DJ services that customize music for the client’s tastes (and not the DJ).

Today’s wedding DJ interview is with Derek Lamoureux of LC Productions based in Ontario, Canada! Enjoy:

Tell us about yourself and how you started.

My parents wanted my first and middle initials to be DJ (Derek James). My DJ name- “Lamchops” has been passed down from generations. With the last name of Lamoureux and playing sports it just fell into place, DJ Lamchops. From the age of 8 I started into music and drama. I always had an interest for finding songs that fit together while driving in the car on family road trips. I was always really good at public speaking and being in front of a crowd. It wasn’t until a family member got remarried that I decided to try DJ’ing. I was 15 and picked up my first DJ controller and spun my first wedding. From there I started in the local clubs and started spinning at local school dances. Then one thing led to another and now I DJ at clubs, schools, corporate parties, and of course weddings.
