Real Wedding: Mermaid Themed Beach Wedding by Taylor English Photography (3)

Real Wedding: Mermaid Themed Beach Wedding by Taylor English Photography (8)

Today’s fun real wedding comes to us from Taylor of Taylor English Photography based in Birmingham, Alabama! Here’s what she has to say about the lovely couple and their big day:

Michelle has been a long time Disney fan, she even worked at Disney World. Her love for “The Little Mermaid” was apparent in every detail of her wedding day. A long time friend of mine, she had even sent me a message the day she chose her dress, complete with screenshots of Ariel wearing the sheet and rope as well as the image as she emerged from the sea, in a sparkling gown. This is what she wanted her big day to emanate as she said, “I do,” to her own Prince Eric, or in this case, Jon. She grew up vacationing at Fort Myers Beach, and simply could not imagine her celebration any where else in the world. As she glided towards Jon down the aisle, I caught him whispering to himself, “Wow!” This was the feeling I wanted to capture for them, like Ariel emerging from the ocean!

Real Wedding: Kate and Jeff's Wedding by Metzger Studios (6)

Real Wedding: Kate and Jeff's Wedding by Metzger Studios (8)

Today’s real wedding comes to us from Scott Metzger of Metzger Studios based in Boston, MA! Here’s more about this wedding and the lovely couple:

Kate and Jeff had a romantic, traditional yet simple wedding. The main colors of the day were blush pink and silver. The ceremony was in a church in a small New England Town (Clinton, MA). The church is the bride’s hometown church. Reception was held in quaint Inn (Chocksett Inn, Sterling) that was rented out so guests could spend the night.

The programs, place cards and signage were all DIY projects from Pinterest. The scenic photos were taken at the Wachsuett Reservoir which is the couples favorite place to walk year round. For the favors, the bride and her parents hand made photo coasters with each guests favorite summer spot on them (summer wedding).

While it was a big undertaking, it was a fun way to really get to know each guest before the big day. Everything was budget-friendly (dresses from David’s Bridal, jewelry from Bauble Bar and Kay Jewelers, Tuxes from Men’s Warehouse)… there are ways to create a great wedding on a budget!

Real Wedding: Amanda and Matt's Wedding by Erin Johnson Photography (5)

This classically elegant real wedding comes to us from Erin Johnson Photography, based in Minneapolis, Minnesota! Here is the couple’s sweet love story as told by Amanda, the lovely bride:

We were high school sweethearts in our senior year, but destined for colleges across the country from each other. After long distance dating, Matt transferred to Wisconsin-Madison our junior year. It was more bliss. At the end of college, we were separated yet again by career moves, yet again thousands of miles apart (San Francisco, Matamoros, Mexico). We found each other somehow, and after some adventuring together in Spain and life on a farm (whole other story), we returned to our hometown of Minneapolis and settled in, probably for good. We meld well. We challenge each other. It wasn’t a straight path, but we have always known we were the ones for each other. Always, from the first high school date and all its jitters. We just got lucky.

Today’s real wedding comes to us from Megan of North Shore Weddings & Events based in Chicago, IL! Here’s more about this wonderful wedding from Kate, the lovely bride:

Originally, Bryan and I had wanted a beach destination wedding somewhere warm, like Mexico. When we realized it would be difficult for everyone we love to make it there, I still had my heart set on a wedding by the water. So being from Chicago, I set my sights on the next best thing — Lake Michigan! We had been to Harbor Country together several times and thought the setting would be perfect.

Real Wedding: Charlotte and Bill's Enchanted Castle Wedding by Villetto Photography (1)

Today’s real wedding, brought to us by Kelly Villetto of Villetto Photography, is timelessly beautiful and utterly magical! Here’s more about the wedding and the lovely couple form Kelly:

When you think of princesses and knights in shining armor Charlotte & Bill really fit the fairytale to a tee. Bill Miller’s Castle set on a picturesque Connecticut property was the absolutely perfect setting for these nuptials. Everything about their wedding day felt like a fairytale. The soft baby’s breathe, the lavender highlights, the princess dress and of course the glass slippers or in this case Badgley Mischka slippers! Charlotte and Bill are both so quiet and soft and their castle marriage was something out of a Jane Austen novel. You can’t get more classic than this…
