The shoot took place at the newly re-opened (and heavily renovated) Historic Hauck Mansion in Cincinnati, Ohio. A soaring staircase, stained glass windows and chandeliers throughout made our styled photo shoot a dream. Each time I visited the historic Hauck Mansion I found more details and history  I couldn’t wait to photograph. The inviting architecture is perfect for an intimate wedding celebration. What could be more romantic than using a timeless color scheme like purple and gold?

This gorgeous Southern Californian styled shoot comes us from White House Wedding Photography based in Los Angeles! Here’s what they have to say about this shoot and the talented team that pulled it all together:

Sage Hill Ranch was the perfect venue for our inspirational wedding shoot captured by Antonio and Paula Crutchley Photography. We first met the owner Gabrielle when Antonio and I celebrated our wedding anniversary and rented one of the cabins on the property. It didn’t hurt that the owner of the property is English just like me – put the kettle on….

Styled Shoot: Snow, Sparkle and Sweet Sentiments by Carla Ten Eyck (11)

Styled Shoot: Snow, Sparkle and Sweet Sentiments by Carla Ten Eyck (11)

This gorgeous, wintry styled shoot comes to us from Carla Ten Eyck, based in Hartford, Connecticut! Here’s what Carla and the her talented team have to say about this shoot:

As far as we are concerned, there is nothing more romantic than a winter wedding! And being New Englanders, there is no better place for one than Vermont. This styled shoot encompassed all of the best parts of winter- cozy fabrics, interesting textures, fluffy white snow, comforting treats and warm snuggles. In planning the fashion for the shoot, stylist Beth Chapman of The White Dress by the shore set out to embrace the cozy elements of winter, but to create contrasts: “I had such fun playing with textures and taking traditional wedding elements and mixing them with wintry pieces. For the bride’s less formal look, I paired a cabled cashmere sweater from Elisabeth Hunter Cashmere with a statement necklace from Ivy and Aster and a custom blue tulle skirt from The White Dress by the shore. For the groom’s formal look, I styled a classic tuxedo from Valentino Tailors with a handmade vintage chunky scarf. A bride’s attire should always be reflective of her venue- even if you are getting married on a frozen lake!”

This edgy and elegant styled shoot comes to us from Tara of the Berkshire Wedding Collective! Here’s more about the inspiration behind the shoot and the talented team that pulled it all together:

For 16 years, Tara Consolati drove by the abandoned, crumbling Great Barrington Fairgrounds. And for 16 years, she was oddly struck by its beauty. What used to be a bustling center of activity—a horse track which drew huge crowds season after season—was now weathered and forgotten! Then, in 2014, when Tara founded the Berkshire Wedding Collective, she knew that she wanted to assemble a team of wedding professionals to produce a beautiful styled shoot—one that incorporated the non-traditional beauty of the dilapidated structures with the mainstream loveliness of a modern-day wedding. One that encouraged the collaboration of several Berkshire Wedding Collective members.

Styled Shoot: Holly and Corey's Wedding Portait Session by Crystal Stokes Photography (6)

This gorgeous wedding portrait/styled shoot comes to us from Crystal Stokes Photography based in Gastonia, North Carolina! Read on to learn the unique true story behind this stunning shoot, as told by the lovely bride:

My (now) husband and I got engaged March 9th, 2013. The day was the most beautiful day. Remembering that day and the days that surrounded it, it was the first warm day we had in North Carolina! We went out that day to look for furniture for our foyer. We purchased our first home and decided to furnish it one room at a time. After we went shopping, we went to a local restaurant. We enjoyed each other’s company. After eating, we decided we wanted to have a fire in our fire pit and grill out for dinner later that night. Corey was really excited to start that particular fire, but it wasn’t out of the ordinary because he is a very outdoors-y kind of man. I didn’t think anything of it. After he got the fire started, he came running in begging for me to come take a look. “It’s the most awesome fire we’ve had out here”, he said. I went outside and there he was, down on one knee. He went into a whole speech about why he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. Obviously, I said yes, we called all our relatives and told them the news and celebrated the rest of the night by the fire!

An Intimate Thanksgiving by Fleur de Lis Event Consulting (1)

In honor of Thanksgiving, we have a special holiday post featuring an elegant and intimate tablescape brought to us by Valerie of Fleur de Lis Event Consulting. Here’s what Valerie has to say:

A traditional Thanksgiving table is often long and rectangular. I love to entertain on these kinds of tables; however, we wanted to give an alternate option for a Thanksgiving table. A small intimate gathering for a “friendsgiving” maybe. Not everyone will be spending this holiday with family. So we thought it would be nice to inspire those who will be having a smaller Thanksgiving dinner but still want to get creative with their tablescape. I mean, just because it’s a small gathering doesn’t mean you can’t go all out and create an elegant tablescape.

Stationery designer Barbara Caruso of AvantGarde Design has shared another fairy tale inspired styled shoot with us! Here’s more about the shoot and the talent behind it:

We are all familiar with the fairy tale of Beauty and The Beast – its origin is from a traditional French fairy tale – La Belle et la Bete. Disney adapted the story in 1991 – which had some variations of course. We used this as our inspiration which was full of fall and rich colors.

Styled Shoot: Cinco de Mayo Shoot by Carla Ten Eyck Photography

In honor of Cinco de Mayo, we have a super fun styled shoot to share with you today. The colors and details in this shoot look like they’re straight out of a Frida Kahlo painting! This shoot comes to us from Carla of Carla Ten Eyck Photography and here’s what she has to say:

Happy Cinco de Mayo! Do any of you know what you are celebrating, besides having an excuse to have Margaritas after work? Neither do I!!! The best part is that my Father is from Mexico, so we have this running joke every year where I ask him what the hell Cinco de Mayo is all about. And he tells me. And then I forget! And then I ask him the following year!! Pretty funny stuff you say, no? Well not really. I am sure it’s more than a little irritating to my poor padre but what are you gonna do!
