I came to work with Elise through a request she posted on Etsy for a custom wedding invitation suite. Her wedding was to be a fun and lighthearted summer wedding, and pinwheels were to be her cupcake toppers at the wedding.
I chose to integrate the different paper patterns she would be using for the actual pinwheels within my pinwheel drawings. I definitely wanted to capture the feeling of a joyous and whimsical day through the colors I chose, the textured paper I picked out, and the typeface I used.
I thought the butterfly would be a fun motif to echo throughout the suite, so I chose a few strategic spots to repeat it, including the envelope. The result was a completely custom and unique invitation suite that Elise could proudly send to all her family and friends!
