Faye & Co’s design and invitation work is so iconic — you could identify it from a mile away. Her hand-lettering is so much fun, and I love the boat theme she used for this invitation set! Faye says:
In addition to working on unique invitation designs, I also get to work with couples that have unique needs. Jessica & Russell had a ceremony location that limited their attendees, so I created two separate invitations but made sure it wasn’t a major change that didn’t drastically increase costs.
The gatefold style invitation for the ceremony measured in at 21-1/2 inches in length when completely open, but conveniently folded into a compact size that fit into a #10 envelope. With the reception-only guest invitations, I was able to print those without the extra ceremony card which made this invite truly unique.
The bride’s fiancé is a tugboat captain, and I was more than thrilled to design their set around that theme. Using a life preserver on the save the date, a tugboat with rope on the invitation, and then the hand-lettering to make it all tie in, was just too much fun.
It took a hands-on approach to get these to work just right, but the end result was worth the extra planning and effort.
