Today’s stationer interview is with Eva of LoveofCreating based in Winnipeg, MB! Enjoy:
How did you get started doing wedding invitations?
Well, it actually was not really planned. I have always loved scrapbooking and design. I started off with making handmade greeting cards and started my Etsy shop with that. I thought that there has to be more that I can do with my life as I had been a stay at home wife and mom for 13 years. My youngest was starting school and I wanted to do something that I could earn some extra money for my family, but really wanted to be able to work from home.
One day I started playing around with some invitation designs. I had seen some beautiful handmade invitations on Pinterest, and thought, I can do that. I made a few handmade invitations and listed them on my Etsy shop. Before I could even really think about what could happen, the sales started coming in. Before I knew it, I was busy, my invitations just took off. I feel so blessed by our almighty God, he has led me down this path and I am so very grateful.

What is your favorite color combination?
My favorite color combination is gold, navy and ivory.
What is the most unique invitation you have designed?
My most unique and favorite design is my shabby chic wedding invitation. It is just perfect for a shabby chic, vintage wedding. It has a vintage style lace and shabby chic papers. I just love it!
Do you have a favorite typeface?
My favorite typeface is bombshell pro. Just love it!
What is the most bizarre request you have received?
Lol, well I have had many funny requests. Someone wanted 150 invitation sets and only wanted to spend $150.00. Well, that doesn’t even cover my costs. Another one is when someone sends me a picture of an invitation that is available in another Etsy shop.
Ampersand or the word “and?”
I like both but I find that most customers like the “and”.
Any advice for brides?
Don’t wait until the last minute to order your invitations. I find many brides wait too long and then they go into panic mode trying to get their invitations.
Do you offer more than just stationery?
At this time I only offer wedding stationary. I offer wedding invitations, programs, menus, table numbers, place cards etc. I also do printable invitations and DIY kits. In my DIY kits, you get all the items you need to make your own invitations by assembling them yourself or with your bridesmaids, perfect for the DIY bride.
