This glamorous save the date card comes to us from Melissa of Cupcake Graphics, based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania! Here’s Melissa to tell us more:
A save the date designed for the WOW factor. There is just something about the 1920’s time frame that I simply cannot get enough of. I have so much fun designing when old hollywood and art deco elements are the inspiration behind the stationery. This Save the Date screams Great Gatsby and is sure to make an impression on the receiver.
See more after the cut!
Keeping old Hollywood and 1920’s era in mind, I used a black and white photo versus a color portrait. I then designed an art deco border which was then cut into a very thick gold metallic paper to create a “picture frame” around the photo of the couple. The textured mailing envelope was then lined with a black shimmer envelope liner. All of the typography was very closely chosen to keep within the theme as well.
