Tell us a bit about yourself and your company.

At the early age of 5 years old, I was in my first wedding. Creating a memorable experience at any event I could put my hands on. That was my goal.  My passion grew, my excitement and talent was innate. Today  I am creating complete events that match unique love stories, corporate missions, and social agendas. I prove that through a unique process that I bring all of my clients through. Before becoming a full time Event Planner at A La Mode, I spent two years studying Industrial Organizational Psychology focusing on Leadership, Motivation and People. Soon thereafter, I became certified in Event Planning.  I understand how to take charge, how to problem solve, and I am creative as well as efficient. One important factor about me is that I work well with people. When planning events for others as well as encountering potential clients.

How did you get into wedding planning?

I was in my first wedding at the age of 5. That’s when my interest for weddings peaked. As I planned my wedding multiple times throughout the years, I entered into the wedding field when an old friend of mine was getting married. She asked me to assist her and I instantly fell in love.

What’s your favorite part of the job?

Seeing people smile! Bringing visions to life & knowing that I love it with every fiber in me. I get to do it all over again in a few days or in a week or so.

What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned, and would pass along to other new wedding planners just getting started?

Take your time to ensure that everything you are doing matches your brand. You can plan for others but make sure you plan  and execute for yourself. KEY!

What are your hobbies or non-work-related activities?

I have a few hobbies like singing and home decor. A few of my absolute favorite pastimes: ONLINE SHOPPING! Love it! LOL. Also, I am such a foodie. Even with a slightly restricted diet, I love to try new & exciting things. I am also on a quest to try 200 restaurants by January 2018. I am on number 50, and I will be sharing the next 150 experiences with my followers.

Any great stories from working with a client?

I had a bride who needed her wedding to be planned in 4 months! Lol. Loved every moment of that. It was breath taking, heartwarming and fun!

What is your current favorite color combination?

I love Deep Burgundys and greenery with touches of succulent!!! Ahhhh I would instantly fall in love. I also love metallics and blush pink.

Are there any trends that you absolutely love or would love to see brides leave behind?

I would love to see Brides leave large bridal parties behind. After 10 bridesmaids and 10 groomsmen…it gets to be a bit much. Mini Brides as well, especially if they cry and need their moms to walk them down the aisle lol.

What tips or advice can you give to couples who are in the midst of planning?

Details! Details! Details! Details, make your wedding stand out. Also, hiring a professional actually helps. Most couples think that it hurts. Professional Wedding Planners, assist to make sure your day is seamless.
