We’re absolutely swooning over all the amazing details in this moody styled shoot, brought to us by Prêt à Papier, based in Dubai, UAE! Here’s Prêt à Papier to tell us more:

Gothic Romance styled shoot inspired by the dark and moody colours of fall and with the weather changing and festivities in the air, we chose to go with maroons, deep burgundy and mix it with this season’s black and gold. It was just in time for Halloween but the blend of colours seems to fit in well with this time of the year, when everyone is in the mood to glam it up and put out the sparkle.

See more after the cut!

We choose to design a stationery suite that was romantic but at the same time dark with some Gothic vibes. The invitation had a deep burgundy colour dipped edge and pure black envelope with a moody textured envelope liner, a beautiful way to introduce a surprising pop of colour to an otherwise monotonous look. The details card mirrored the modern geometric shapes in the venue. Romantic florals softened the Gothic darkness of the invitation suite. The whole suite was wrapped was tied together with a delicate black velvet ribbon for that extra touch of indulgence.

The venue was a Mediterranean restaurant called Quatrro Passi and had very Spanish vibes but featured geometric and modern gold accents. The glitzy setup of the table was set against a black sequined table linen and brushed gold accessories. The bunnies added a whimsical touch to the table while the ornate golden charger plates gave of an air of romance and gothic elegance. Tealights in glittery candle holders made the tablecloth and dinnerware sparkle in the candle light beautiful for an evening festive occasion. Gothic details were the showcase on the 2 ft tall showstopping cake design, with draped details and sugar flower embellishments.
