If you’re dreaming of a destination wedding in Mexico, then today’s guest post, brought to us by Gareth Davies Photography is for you!
Getting married in the Mexican Riviera Maya is very common with foreign couples, and one of the most popular places in the world for destination weddings. I am sure it comes as no surprise, many foreigners get engaged here and seek to have their destination wedding in one of the abundant locations in Mexico, be it on the pristine beaches in the Riviera Maya, in a majestic colonial house in Merida, Yucatan or in a lush garden setting in Cuernavaca, Morelos. Something the Mexican wedding scene doesn´t lack are stunning wedding venues.
This lush, colorful French garden inspired styled shoot comes to us from Hyde Park Photography, based in Austin, TX! Here’s Hyde Park Photography to tell us more:
Old world style. French inspired. Comfortable elegance. Words that convey an ambiance of warmth and comfort, yet a classy elegance. This is the inspiration behind Thistlewood Manor, an elegant wedding venue just south of Austin, Texas. It was this same ambiance we wanted to capture in this shoot, using some of those rich colors and textures of the season. It is such a lovely time full of color, wonderful weather and happy moments – a perfect time for a gathering of family and friends for a loved one’s wedding.

Today’s gorgeous real wedding comes to us from the wedding photography team at Candid Tales, based in New Delhi, India! Here’s more about the wedding from bride and groom:
The vision of our wedding was for it to be elegant and regal yet intimate. We wanted simplicity to go a long way. Our first step was to find a location that could speak for itself which required very little to bring out the best in the place. As we settled on Udaipur, our next vision was for each function to be unique and unexpected from each other. We started with a very simple Sagan at the restaurant of Chunda palace.
This gorgeous engagement shoot comes to us from Eboni Robyn Photography, based in Nassau, The Bahamas! Here’s Karen, the lovely bride to be, to tell us more:
Mario and I did our engagement session 2 and half years after our engagement (two weeks before our wedding), so at that point we were no longer used to people telling us congratulations or making a fuss over our engagement. We knew we wanted the beauty of the Bahamas’ water to be in the background of the photos, but we felt the beach just wasn’t our style.
Here in the United States, we’re often guilty of only considering either the Caribbean or Mexico for the ultimate destination wedding. Unknown to many, however, a Phuket destination wedding offers the ultimate tropical oasis complete with glistening turquoise waters, powder white sands, endless sunshine, plus history, culture, modernization and luxury all in one!
So dare to be different. Dare to step outside of your comfort zone by skipping the familiar and choosing a truly unique, exotic and romantic beachfront wedding venue in Phuket by Thavorn Hotels & Resorts. This exclusive private venue in a tranquil beach setting with traditional Thai architecture engulfed by lush greenery makes for the perfect backdrop for your dream Phuket beach wedding.
Today’s featured wedding video comes to us from Marry Me Movies, based in Sydney, Australia! Here’s the Marry Me Movies team to tell us more:
Our wedding videographer captured Rohan blinking away tears as Isabelle walked down the aisle. He also filmed Isabelle as she smiled with glee, and as she mouthed a quick hello to Rohan before joining him at the front of the church. From that moment on, there was so much happiness to capture, whether it was: Isabelle cheering after kissing her husband, enthusiastically dancing as she walked into the reception venue at Deckhouse, Woolwich; or both of them joyously kissing throughout the day. This is probably one of the greatest enjoyments of our cinematography work, seeing people in love, surrounded by people who love them.
Today’s real wedding, brought to us by Andrea Harborne Photography, is a stylish back tie affair brimming with gorgeous details and heartfelt moments! Here’s Andrea to tell us mor:
The ceremony took place on 25 March 2017 in Jensen Beach, Florida, at the Mansion at Tuckahoe. This is a beautiful location perched overlooking the sea, and the couple decided on this venue as they were looking for a romantic estate in a natural setting.
The color theme of the wedding was Lilac, Purple & White. I chose these colors as I wanted it to be different from usual traditional wedding themes. I gleaned some decoration ideas from Pinterest. My style vision was elegant but simple. We wanted our wedding ceremony to be held outdoors with views of the sea, so chose Le Ciel in Imerovigli as our venue for the wedding and reception.
