Today’s real wedding, brought to us by Cathy’s Elegant Events, exudes warmth and fun! We just love the retro style and the unique, personal touches. Here’s Cathy to tell us more:
This couple was one of my favorites from last year. These two (a gay wedding) live in Brooklyn but wanted to get married at the bride’s mother’s home in the Catskills. They were so concerned that the house wouldn’t be beautiful enough for a great wedding but it was absolutely perfect.
See more after the cut!
They are two old souls who have a timeless relationship. They got married at a friends church up the street (also a summer home) and had all of their guests sing ‘Going to the Chapel’ for the procession. I still tear up when I think about it.
They then all walked back to the bride’s mother’s home, which was a two room school house, converted to be a home. They had all of their closest friends there for days in advance helping create the centerpieces, hand lights, create chalk boards and more. There couldn’t have been a more perfect place for their wedding.
Congratulations to the happy couple and thank you Cathy for sharing! For more information about Cathy’s Elegant Events, please visit their WeddingLovely Vendor Guide profile or head straight to their website.
