This gorgeous Southern Californian styled shoot comes us from White House Wedding Photography based in Los Angeles! Here’s what they have to say about this shoot and the talented team that pulled it all together:
Sage Hill Ranch was the perfect venue for our inspirational wedding shoot captured by Antonio and Paula Crutchley Photography. We first met the owner Gabrielle when Antonio and I celebrated our wedding anniversary and rented one of the cabins on the property. It didn’t hurt that the owner of the property is English just like me – put the kettle on….
See more after the cut!
Sage Hill Ranch is a horse ranch & vineyard set upon seven gorgeous acres located a little over five miles high above the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu. I know, when you think of Malibu, you don’t usually think of vineyards, but trust me there are some fabulous vineyards tucked away in the Malibu hills. Sage Hill Ranch is surrounded by National Park land which makes it the perfect venue for a wedding. The main house sitting high above the hills of Malibu has a large wrap-around covered veranda with ocean, mountain and vineyard views, so lovely for an intimate wedding. It is truly breathtaking!
This romantic setting is a photographer’s dream as it has multiple areas across the grounds to capture those creative and one of a kind images. The inspirational shoot was brought about by the natural elements Sage Hill Ranch offers. The models were from Rage Models. The dress that Lena wore from Wisteria Bridal by Eugenia Couture made a soft feminine statement of elegance and romance. Detailed with shirred silk chiffon, and cascading chiffon panels on the skirt, it made for some playful photographs throughout the shoot. The beaded floral cummerbund and bateau neckline were simply stunning. This wedding gown set the tone for the entire shoot.
The headpiece and gloves was a perfect match to this couture gown! The bouquets scented the air with their combination of earthy rustic flowers and fruits, including garden roses, rice flowers, snapdragons, miniature green apples, dried lotus pods, Paris eucalyptus pods and succulents. All of the lush floral arrangements were artfully designed by Flowers by Cindy Sheridan. We might also add that the groom, Steven looked so dapper in his suit created by British designer Ted Baker. The coat was the production of Tallia Designs and looked amazing!
The bride’s hair and makeup was the masterpiece of Cindy DeAnda Hair and Makeup. The look was fresh, clean and elegant. This perfection was a delightful pairing with the bride’s wedding gown. Lena’s hairstyle was delicate, feminine and romantic. Each detail for the shoot was carefully and artistically orchestrated by Generation B Events. They worked closely with the photographers and models to ensure that each detail was selected and photographed with the integrity of an actual wedding.
The color palette included muted rustic tones with splashes of burgundy and rustic vintage accent pieces strategically placed throughout the vineyard. The various textures used in the photo shoot allowed for a bit of a twist from your traditional vineyard shoot. We fell in love with the embellished chargers placed underneath the traditional china. Each place setting had a greenery tie on the napkin which subtly reminded you of the vineyard theme. The farmhouse table became center stage for several floral arrangements and candles as they were strategically placed upon it, allowing for the elegance of the shoot to shine in all its glory. It could be stated that the use of calligraphy and the greenery embraced the timeless elegance of the vineyard allowing for the majestic setting of this vineyard.
The food selection for the shoot was scrumptious, from the roast wild king salmon to the charcuterie platter provided by Live In Style Concierge. We had two wedding cakes to work with as well. One wedding cake was embellished with rose gold fondant sequins; the other cake was covered with textured fondant – both magnificent and designed by Bella Donna Special Events and Bakery.
