This gorgeous travel themed wedding comes to us from Photographer Anne Nguyen of Push and Scream, based in Santa Ana, CA. Here’s Grace, the lovely bride, to tell us more about the wedding and the whirlwind romance that led up to it!

I met José on my second day in Brazil. I was backpacking and was invited to a CouchSurfing luau at Praia Vermelha. I got invited to a Latin dance party a few days after the luau by a new friend living in Rio. José happened to be there too and I recalled his face from the luau. He invited me to the dance floor a couple times and I guess I can say that José actually impressed me with his incredible dance moves. After the dance floor got too hot, we all went out to Copacabana beach, where José sang a song to me. It was really cute.

See more after the cut!

I had to leave Brazil because my tourist visa was almost expired. José and I had been traveling around Brazil together and we were in Florianopolis when I changed my flight to return to Brazil. I planned to return to Brazil and rent an apartment with him when I returned. I also took a 27 hour bus trip to his hometown to meet his entire family, so I felt like it got really serious then.

Since Jose and I met while I was traveling and we were an international couple, we thought it would be nice to incorporate our theme to match our love story! It was fun making the escort tags to have our guests “travel” to different countries/tables, having a globe as our guestbook, finding cute suitcases for our cards and decoration, and down to our cake and cake topper.

Congratulations Grace & José and thank you Anne for sharing! For more information about Push and Scream, please visit their WeddingLovely Vendor Guide profile or head straight to their website.
