In honor of Thanksgiving, we have a special holiday post featuring an elegant and intimate tablescape brought to us by Valerie of Fleur de Lis Event Consulting. Here’s what Valerie has to say:
A traditional Thanksgiving table is often long and rectangular. I love to entertain on these kinds of tables; however, we wanted to give an alternate option for a Thanksgiving table. A small intimate gathering for a “friendsgiving” maybe. Not everyone will be spending this holiday with family. So we thought it would be nice to inspire those who will be having a smaller Thanksgiving dinner but still want to get creative with their tablescape. I mean, just because it’s a small gathering doesn’t mean you can’t go all out and create an elegant tablescape.
See more after the cut!
We wanted to use a traditional Thanksgiving color palette of creams, browns, greens and a few bits of orange and keep it very classy. Some of the details that we absolutely love are the brown stemware, lace chair covers and sparkling pumpkins. The centerpiece is gorgeous with the orange lilies and the hanging eucalyptus leaves. The flower centerpiece is an exaggerated focal point and would most likely have to be removed once dinner started. But until dinner started, it would be very pretty to look at and a great conversation starter. It could always be moved to a buffet table or wherever you were setting your food for a festive touch.
