Rustic Ornate Wedding by B.Matthews Photo (14)

Today we’re happy to bring you this lovely real wedding photographed by B.Matthews Photo! From the bride and groom:

The ceremony was in a rustically ornate church in a charming little neighborhood and the reception was in the gorgeous lobby of a 1920’s downtown hotel-turned-condo complex. I wanted to play up the classicly glam vibe of the reception venue so I gravitated towards timeless elements, including the mermaid silhouette of my dress. We didn’t want to distract from the venue’s incredible details in the wooden walls, mezzanine, high, hand-painted ceilings or black and white marble floors so we added a few tall centerpieces and scattered romantic candles throughout the venue. We loved the long, dramatic head table down the center of the lobby.

Wonderful! See all the beautiful photos after the cut:

Katie & John Hot Fushia Wedding at The Estate by Gene & Georgetti (27)

Today’s real wedding inspiration comes to us from The Estate by Gene & Georgetti, where this beautiful hot-fuchsia inspired wedding of Katie & John took place! A bit about the wedding:

What was your inspiration for your wedding theme/colors?

As my dad lovingly put it during his wedding speech, I was no normal child. Ask a kid what their favorite colors are it’s blue, green, red, you know the normal. What was my favorite color if anyone ever asked me? Hot fuchsia! Apparently at 30 years old, I still hadn’t changed, and that was still my color of choice.

How did you get started doing wedding invitations?

My husband and I were in the middle of a cross-country move when I realized that I needed to make a change and do something creative for my work. I had made our own invitations a few years earlier when we got married so I knew that I loved the process! After working with a few brides, learning about their weddings and trying to come up with unique and special invitations to match, I knew I was in the right business!

Get to Know a Wedding Florist in Atlanta, Georgia: Amanda Jewel Floral + Design (4)
Credit: Melissa Schollaert

Today we’re bringing you an interview with florist Amanda Jewel Floral + Design, based in Atlanta, Georgia! Thanks being here Amanda:

Tell us about yourself and your company.

Hi! I am an entrepreneur and mother which are the two large roles that I fill on a daily basis. I LOVE being both and would not trade it for the world. I started my company almost eight years ago and it has felt about eight years long because I started from scratch. No one guided me and no one gave me a chunk of change to get started.

I am a lover of all things cheese and am usually barefooted all day everyday. My favorite thing to do is “tinker” in my studio or run around outside with my kiddos. I adore my husband and want to be with him 24/7 which I pretty much do anyways.

Mountain Ski Resort Destination Wedding Suite from Brown Fox Creative (10)

This gorgeous invitation doesn’t hesitate to be romantic! Sent over by Brown Fox Creative (based in Texas), we love all the feminine details. A bit about the design:

Liz wanted a suite that represented their wedding destination location — Vail, Colorado, but didn’t want it to feel rustic or masculine. Our solution was a silhouetted mountain on pale blush paper, with a gorgeous rose gold glitter backing paper to add a fancy flare. We also included a map of the resort so guests would have all the information needed to get around!
