This lush woodland wedding comes to us from Tamytha Cameron Photography, based in Plano, Texas! Here’s Tamytha to tell us more:
Chelsea and Brandon are one of those couples that love each other with such effortlessness that they inspire everyone around them to want to find their own perfect match. Our goal was to capture that romance and that effortlessness in these images so that we could do them justice. The blue skies over Texas last October and the peaceful wooded setting made it so easy and everyone present was drawn in to the love between them. I think one of my favorite things about this wedding was the gorgeous lush florals is hues of deep red with the lovely red velvet ribbons by The Stalk Market.
See more after the cut!
We just loved the little bohemian and fanciful details that made the day special. From Chelsea’s dreamy two piece gown, to her romantic headpiece, to the eclectic cake table, the mix and match outfits worn by the bridal party in shades of soft peachy pink, the adorable floral shorty PJ’s worn while the girls were getting ready , the vintage engagement ring chosen so lovingly by the groom, and the fact the the venue for the wedding was actually a part of a working nursery… it seems a perfect fit. Not to mention the DIY touches like the bridesmaid’s hangers, the ribbon wands for the send off, and various signs with quotes set around the reception site.
The tables were covered in dusky blue surrounding a circular dance floor under a canopy of lights. The bride has a very close knit circle of friends who were all very involved in the planning and execution of this day, and two of them who weren’t in the bridal party gave readings during the ceremony.
There are also a few special stories from this group of loved ones and friends that stand out. One is about the tiny triangular tattoos on the arms of the bride and two of her oldest friends that can be seen in one of the images… they have been friends for most of their lives and now they stand together on Chelsea’s special day.
The other is the tattoo on Chelsea’s back that can be seen as she is walking down the aisle. That tattoo honors her mom who passed away, it is her initials, and she is also honored at a table set up at the entrance to the wooded ceremony area. There is a framed photo from our bridal session together where Chelsea wore her dress for the majority of the images, but also did some on her mother’s dress. The session happened to fall on her mother’s birthday, which made it all the more meaningful. Chelsea’s dad played his guitar for the reception and another family member was the DJ.
I think one of the sweetest things was watching the couple dance and seeing how happy they were. As a photographer few things are better than capturing pure love and pure joy and creating something that becomes a part of a couple’s history.
