We’re excited to bring you a pair of videos featuring Central Park, submitted by Peter of Our Wedding Officiant NYC! Enjoy:

The “small wedding” trend continues to grow, and for couples living in and visiting New York, that increasingly means holding their wedding in Central Park. New York City wedding officiant and Central Park Wedding expert, Peter Boruchowitz, says that’s not surprising. “For New Yorkers,” he says, “Central Park is the outdoor space that’s a part of our homes. Also, Central Park can be intertwined with our romantic lives: dates to see concerts at the band shell or on the Great Lawn, or Shakespeare plays that we’ve seen at the Delacorte Theater, picnics at the Sheep Meadow we’ve had with our friends, street performers that we’ve watched on the mall or at Bethesda Terrace, and, of course, long romantic walks by the lake, through the Ramble, in the gardens. So for New Yorkers, holding a wedding here is like getting married in your backyard.”

At 840 acres, that’s a lot of backyard to cover. That’s why Peter is adding new episodes to “The Central Park Wedding Tour”, a series of short Youtube videos that takes you to the most popular Central Park wedding spots. In each video, Peter walks the viewer through a location in the park while describing its attributes as a wedding ceremony venue: the nearest entrance to the park, wheelchair accessibility, the number of people that can be accommodated, whether there are restrooms nearby. Along the way, he throws in interesting tidbits about the location’s history, relates a charming little lesson on wedding ceremonies in Shakespeare’s comedies, and even plays all four parts in a string quartet.

As fun and informative as the videos are to watch, Peter says he made them to be practical. “My Central Park wedding couples were always asking me where to hold their ceremonies, but a place that is perfect for one couple might not fit another couple’s vision,” he says. Now, Peter refers couples planning a Central Park Wedding to his Youtube channel. His experience, he added, let’s him anticipate and answer questions that are specific to couples getting married in the park, “I can tell a bride or groom that there is a bench here so grandma doesn’t have to stand, but in a video I can show them the bench.” Some questions don’t come up until the wedding day itself. Peter says that he always hears guests ask the bride or groom about the name of a place, or it’s history, or the meaning of an esoteric plaque there. People who have watched the tour already know the answer!

Since half of the weddings Peter performs are for destination wedding couples visiting New York from out of state or from abroad, the videos are particularly useful for them. “If you’re from Melbourne, Edinburgh, Toronto, or Pittsburgh, you can’t just walk through the park one Sunday six months before your wedding date and pick a place,” he notes. “That’s why the tour shows each location from different vantage points, and that’s why I try to move around as much as possible. So viewers get the ‘feel’ of being there with me.”

The latest Central Park Wedding Tour videos, debuting this fall, include the six-acre formal Conservatory Garden on Fifth Avenue and the Dene Summerhouse, a charming vine-covered gazebo nestled high among the parks famous granite outcrops. Peter plans to keep adding new episodes to the Tour as his schedule allows.

We’re loving this intimate seaside wedding brought to us by Lovereel, based in Gordon, NSW! Here’s Lovereel to tell us more:

Chelita and Jamie first met during school holidays when they were about 16 years old. They hit it off from the start, and it was not long before they were found spending all their time together. On their trip to Melbourne years later, as they wandered down the popular Hosier Lane, a song they both loved started to play and suddenly everybody looked at Chelita who was the last to notice Jamie down on one knee in front of the words “marry me, Chelita!”

Perched on the top of the hill with extensive views of Whale Beach and beyond, Jonah’s was the perfect venue for an intimate summer wedding like Chelita and Jamie’s. Having had only 45 guests, the newlyweds got a perfect opportunity to spend quality time with everyone! As Chelita says, “We literally loved every second of it, none of it was overwhelming or too much.”

Congratulations Chelita & Jamie and thank you, Lovereel, for sharing! For more information about Lovereel, please visit their WeddingLovely Vendor Guide profile or head straight to their website.

Today’s featured wedding video brought to us by Visualeyes, Handmade Motion Pictures (Hyderabad, India) is an opulent Bollywood extravaganza! Here’s more from Visualeyes:

The big fat wedding guest list had some very famous Bollywood celebrities and personalities from the world of industry and politics. Rajnikant, Chiranjeevi, Amitabh Bachchan, Sridevi with daughter Jhanvi and Khushi, Kiara Advani, Allu Arjun, Saif Ali Khan with daughter Sara, Rekha, Raveena Tandon, Rana Dagubatti, Jackie Shroff, Vyjanthimala and Shah Rukh Khan to name a few. The Couple themselves were beautiful in South Indian traditional outfits. The bride wore a Kanjeevaram Saree with diamond jewelry, the groom wore a heavily embellished red and gold sherwani with pearl malas and a paghdi. The wedding mantap was inspired by the temple architecture of South India. Tanjore style paintings of the Goddesses Lakshmi and Saraswati were placed at the entrance to add the vibe. The highlight of the wedding was the greet and meet corridor which had mirrored ceiling, a hand painted floor, along with elephant pillars that opened straight to mantap.

Today’s featured wedding video comes to us from Marry Me Movies, based in Sydney, Australia! Here’s the Marry Me Movies team to tell us more:

Our wedding videographer captured Rohan blinking away tears as Isabelle walked down the aisle. He also filmed Isabelle as she smiled with glee, and as she mouthed a quick hello to Rohan before joining him at the front of the church. From that moment on, there was so much happiness to capture, whether it was: Isabelle cheering after kissing her husband, enthusiastically dancing as she walked into the reception venue at Deckhouse, Woolwich; or both of them joyously kissing throughout the day. This is probably one of the greatest enjoyments of our cinematography work, seeing people in love, surrounded by people who love them.

This sweet, romantic wedding video comes to us from Marry Me Movies, based in Sydney, Australia! Here’s Marry Me Movies to tell us more:

Our wedding videographer enjoyed filming Elissa and Adam at St. Brigid Catholic Church, Marrickville, in Sydney. With its graceful, white exterior and multitude of arches, the architecture was the perfect backdrop for Elissa, who sparkled as she walked down the aisle. Our wedding cinematographer also loved capitalising on the outdoor wedding backdrops including Sydney’s beautiful water views, and a canvas of palm trees that swayed in the breeze along with Elissa’s veil.

Congratulations to the happy couple and thank you, Marry Me Movies, for sharing! For more information about Marry Me Movies, please visit their WeddingLovely Vendor Guide profile or head straight to their website.

Today’s featured wedding video comes to us from Aperina Studios, based in San Francisco, California! Here’s the Aperina Studios team to tell us more:

Located in California’s finest wine country, Napa Valley, Brix was a perfect location for Dan & Pamela’s Wedding. The beautiful couple danced away in the sunset with gorgeous vineyards and gardens in the background. We loved filming the nature and spectacular views of the Mayacamas mountains. The heat was there to challenge us, but I love how we pulled of an amazing story of this couple. As a Napa Valley wedding videographer, we love to tell stories in these enchanted valleys.

On a technical side. We used 5 cameras (Canon 5D MK III DSLRs) and many “L series” lenses. Audio wise, we had the groom and officiant mic’ed up for the ceremony using mini lavs, additionally pulling a feed off of the mixer (for backup). For reception, we simplified the audio, but had a few duplicate audio recorders running from the mixer. We used a Jib to give us those cinematic shots that are hard to get with regular tripods or monopods.

Looking over the shots, we did an amazing job “harmonizing” shots and making sure they work together. We usually plan our camera layout prior to the ceremony and reception to give us the shots I want. More importantly, so we can work effectively and to get the best coverage possible. With experience, we are able to plan our layout within minutes, but each wedding is a challenge.

Our opening aerial shots, I do for fun. I love flying my personal camera in the air to get an amazing view while I’m at a beautiful location. We edit and color-correct/grade in FCPX (I love Final Cut) using built in color correction and a few plugins. Over the years I understood a basic principle I go by: with amazing footage, you can make an amazing film! So we do just that. Enjoy this short film!

Congratulations Dan & Pamela, and thank you to Aperina Studio for sharing! For more information about Aperina Studio, please visit their WeddingLovely Vendor Guide profile.

We just love the laid-back vibe and the rustic details in today’s featured wedding video, brought to us by Marry Me Movies! Here’s more about the couple and their big day from Marry Me Movies:

Alix and Mike wanted a relaxed, informal, fun gathering for their wedding, which is why they settled on a friend’s beautiful, sprawling property in Kangaroo Valley. We love how the couple used wood from the property to make the rustic wedding arch. And as wedding cinematographers, we certainly didn’t complain about the stunning Kangaroo Valley scenery!

This delightful wedding video comes to us from Marry Me Movies, based in Sydney, Australia! Here’s Marry Me Movies to tell us more:

Rick’s proposal was amazing. He organized a well-known cartoonist to create a comic book about his and Amber’s relationship. Of course, we had to feature footage of the comic book in the wedding film! We love weaving our couple’s back story into their films because it creates a rich, full story; as well as context for the day. That’s why we’re proud to call ourselves documentary-style cinematographers!

Congratulations Amber & Rick and thank you to Marry Me Movies for sharing! For more information about Marry Me Movies, please visit their WeddingLovely Vendor Guide profile or head straight to their blog.

There are aspects of every wedding film that stand out as our favourite moments. In this case, we loved capturing the fun of Kristen and Kris’s wedding. For example, Kristen almost had a ‘dance’ in her step during key moments. And Kris, whose an avid cyclist, rode his bike into the wedding venue. Our cinematic wedding films tell a story, and Kristen and Kris’s wedding was a most exciting one!

Congratulations Kristen and Kris and thank you to Marry Me Movies for sharing! For more information about Marry Me Movies, please visit their WeddingLovely Vendor Guide profile or head straight to their website.
