Last year, Tracy was a one woman show with WeddingLovely. She went to NYC for the National Stationery Show and held a meetup for a handful of WeddingInviteLove vendors – at the time, that was our only directory. If she only knew what would come in 2012!

Fast forward a year, and our team has tripled. Our vendor directories went from only invitations to photographers, planners, videographers and venues. Our little meetup turned into a full-fledged party with close to 100 RSVPs. But wait, it gets better– not only did Etsy donate their space and money, but we also had an amazing team of some crazy talented wedding industry folks offer up their services to make our shindig THAT much more awesome.

A BIG thank you to:

Etsy donated money for food and drinks and also let us use Etsy Labs for our event space. Sara and Julie were so gracious and helpful. We love love love Etsy and are flattered that they were willing to help us out.

5th Avenue Weddings did a fabulous job putting together our event details. I have two words to describe Meena: PLANNING ROCKSTAR. When she called me and said she wanted to do “everything,” I will admit – we were a little nervous. But then we got to Etsy and Meena was already there turning the space into something more beautiful than we ever imagined.

Fairfax Films created the awesome video for us. Jeremy White and Stephen Depp, – you are SO TALENTED. Having a video truly is the icing on the cake, we were all giddy with excitement when Meena told us that Fairfax Films would be there.

Carrie Draghi was our paparazzi for the evening. We’ll see sharing her gorgeous photos soon. She did an amazing job to say the least. No detail was left behind – in fact, she even has photos of things I didn’t even notice.

X Quisite Flowers & Events provided flowers. And more flowers. And more flowers. Seriously – we had SO MANY FLOWERS. They were so lovely and quite honestly, the talk of the party!

There is some major eye candy in your future! Stay tuned, because we’re going to be sharing the Etsy Labs photobooth pictures from Magnolia Photo Booth Co. and photos from the Shindig by Carrie Draghi.

Are you going to be in NYC for the National Stationery Show this year? Or you’re a wedding vendor/blogger/enthusiast? Or just a friend and supporter of WeddingLovely? Come hang out with us at our very first celebratory shindig at Etsy Labs, on May 21st at 7pm! Shake off the “Mondays” with us — the shindig is free, it’s in an amazing space, there’s a photobooth, we’ll have alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and delicious desserts (thanks to Etsy for sponsoring the space, food, and drinks!)

Please RSVP (for free) on Eventbrite, so we can track who is coming and make sure we have enough tasty treats and drinks.

Big thanks to 5th Avenue Weddings for being our other, amazing sponsor, and will be ensuring this event is amazing!

Hope to see you there!

– Tracy & Marit

WeddingLovely Meetup

We’re headed to NYC for the National Stationery Show again this year! Last year, it was just Tracy (you may have seen her running around with cookies!). This year, I’m going along with her – we’ve grown SO MUCH in the last year and want to make sure we stop and say hello to as many of our vendors as possible. Have we mentioned that we are over 1k vendors now? While we’re there, we hope to meet even more new stationers to add to the WeddingInviteLove directory.

We’ll be having a WeddingLovely Meetup at Etsy Labs in Dumbo/Brooklyn on May 21, 2012 from 7pm-9pm. We’re stoked that Etsy is letting us use their space and can’t wait to meet all of you! The WeddingLovely team is thrilled to celebrate how far we’ve come in the last year and thought that NYC would be the perfect place to do just that! My birthday is the next day, so I’ll consider it my birthday party too (I’m so excited to turn 29 again!!)

WeddingLovely vendors, want to help with our meetup? WeddingLovely, 5th Avenue Weddings & Etsy are sponsoring this wonderful event.  We’d love it if you have any ideas, want to donate some stuff for a giveaway, know of a great cupcake bakery, or anything else related to throwing an amazing party! Just email us at [email protected]

Team WeddingLovely spent our Valentine’s Day with a great group of women at Women 2.0’s PITCH Conference. There were close to one thousand female tech entrepreneurs, engineers, designers, investors and supporters, how awesome is that? We listened to many great speakers, had inspiring conversations and met some truly talented and intelligent women. It was a long day, but Tracy and I were able to talk to so many people about WeddingLovely. We received so much wonderful feedback and some really great suggestions that we hope to start implementing over the next few months. Yay!

We want to give a shout out and an extra-big thank you to the team at Locally Grown Weddings (also a group of female entrepreneurs!). They were nice enough to provide a beautiful bouquet of organic daffodils and mini cupcakes (gluten-free lemon with Grand Marnier buttercream… yum!) for our table. We were so proud to feature one of our vendors at our table. After all, that’s what we are all about: spreading our vendor love!

We are passionate about WeddingLovely, so it was a fitting way to spend our Valentine’s Day. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to learn more about us!

Yours truly, Amy of Milk and Ice Cream, and Chandai of Kismet Events (who provided this lovely picture!)

Just wanted to post publicly how nice it was to meet up last night with two wonderful ladies — Amy of Milk and Ice Cream, and Chandai of Kismet Events! Over wine and cheese, we chatted weddings, New York City, and events — it was truly a really fun time.

San Francisco Bay Area folks — you’re next! Details for the next meetup coming soon. :)

I’m going to be in NYC next week and I’d love to meet you! I’m holding another small, informal meetup at Brookvin in Park Slope, Brooklyn, on Thursday the 2nd at 7:30pm. Come hang out with other wedding folk, enjoy some wine on WeddingLovely’s tab, and make some new friends!

RSVP on Facebook — or respond to this so I know how many are coming!

For the California folk, I know it’s been forever since the last meetup… that’s because I’m planning something big! Details coming soon. ;)

It’s that time again! This time instead of holding the meetup in San Francisco, going to hold it on the peninsula to give us non-San-Franciscans a break. ;) Join friends and soon-to-be friends next Tuesday, October 25th at 840 Wine Bar in Redwood City for drinks (first bottle of wine on me), appetizers, and fun!

Anyone welcome, RSVP on Facebook or email me at [email protected]. :)

I’ll be heading to Brooklyn next week to attend Brooklyn Beta, and I’d love to meet up with any design, stationery, and invitation-minded folk in the area! I’ve chosen The JakeWalk in Carroll Gardens out of a hat (Have you been there? How is it?), and I’m planning the meetup for next Tuesday, October 11th at 7pm. First bottle of wine is on me!

RSVP on Facebook, or leave a comment here saying you’ll be coming. :)

portland wedding invitation stationery meetup

Thank you to all the Portland lovelies who came to the Portland Stationery + Invitations meetup! I had the most fun talking with everyone (nine people total! We overwhelmed the small wine bar where we were) as well as bringing together stationery professionals in the area. There was talk about running the meetup monthly — I hope it continues! The details on the next San Francisco Bay Area meetup, a NYC meetup (and perhaps a Miami meetup?) will be posted soon.

As always, it was a bit too dark for photos but I did my best:
