Today’s wedding planner interview is with Wendy of Wendy’s Affairs of Hearts, based in Pennsylvania!

Tell us a bit about yourself and your company.

Wendy’s Affairs of Heart began in 2003 after years of running restaurants and bridal salons, running events and working backstage in a theater. I needed a more flexible work life, so I threw all of my talents and skills into the pot and created my business. My philosophy from day one was that I was NOT like any other planner and that my ONLY focus was going to be on THE BRIDE. I was going to be her friend, advocate, voice and mentor. This was not about me, but about that bride who trusted me to guide her through the process and give her a perfect wedding day.

I have never had “packages” and my fees are all designed for the budget and the needs of each bride. Once a bride entrusts me with her wedding, I am available for whatever she needs from me. There are NO limits as to what I will do, how many hours she gets or what is “extra”. I just do whatever it takes to give each and every bride I help a magical and stress free wedding day.

I am not the floral designer. I am not the invitation source or the calligrapher. I don’t make the favors or decorate the room. What I do is guide my brides to the professionals that best suit their needs and oversee the entire process. Then, on her big day, I am with my bride all day, making sure that everything is just how she wants it.

Tell us a bit about yourself and your company.

My name is Marisa Manna Ferrell…the “Ferrell” part is a new addition to my name! I am proud to say that I recently got married! It was fun to be on the other side of things this time. My mother always told me, “Marisa, no man wants to marry a party girl”. But I found the one did! My family & best friends call me “Ris”. A bottle of bubbly & fresh oysters makes me a very happy girl! I have a real thirst for life and have a laid-back attitude.

So Eventful is a professional, full service company that does everything from weddings, social events and everything in between. As a professional wedding and event coordinator, I have a great sense of fashion, color and design. So Eventful is known for creating an event that is the perfect complement to our clients own style and desires. You’ll enjoy creating with So Eventful as you collaborate on colors, styles, fabrics, tastes, sounds, ambience and more. Today’s wedding planner/coordinator interview is with the lovely Michela, one half of Marriage & Glamour, coming all the way from Bari, Italy. We love hearing about different trends from the other side of the Atlantic!

Tell us a bit about yourself and your company.

Marriage & Glamour was created two years ago after a fantastic travel in Greece, where me and my business partner, Giusy, decided to start this adventure and to offer our creativity and our expertise to realize exciting weddings. I have a literary background with specialization in art history and cinema, two fundamental elements of my inspiration. So I like to define the style of our company as “evocative”: evocation of the history of our land, of our art heritage, but also evocation of the best achievement of fashion and style in the history of XX century and over. So we have a style that is mainly vintage and classic, with some addition of country chic and shabby. But we are always open to adapt our style to the desires of our clients.

1. Tell us a bit about yourself and your company.

I’m a bay area native, and a former professional ballerina turned event planner.  I really fell in love with events during my time as a ballerina, as that career took me to events across the country and around the world.  I started planning events when I left ballet, and after seven years, I founded C Jane Productions, a boutique event planning company, that specializes in weddings, social occasions, non-profit and corporate events.

Happy Monday! Today’s interview is with Julie from Invision Events. The pictures in this interview are so colorful and bright as well as simple and elegant. All the great qualities that this wedding planner possess! Thank you for taking the time out to share some great views of wedding planning today.

1. Tell us a bit about yourself and your company.

I am from Mobile, Ala. originally. My husband and I both graduated from Auburn University and we decided to stay in Auburn. I founded Invision Events while living here and it has branched out into a regional business serving Atlanta, Columbus, Birmingham, Montgomery and Mobile. I have a degree in Public Relations and would like to think that it has served me well :).

Invision Events is a full service wedding planning firm. I tell clients that we can handle as little or as much as you’d like. Every wedding is different and every client is different. When designing a wedding, I like to keep a “less is more” outlook to things. I love my clients to be the focus of the day and I want people to have a great time. I love flowers and linen and printing, but I like to make sure that the reason of the event is kept in focus.
