Today’s real wedding was sent over and photographed by Robert London Photography, and we LOVE how unique and different it is! Kudos to the couple for breaking outside the norms and doing something so kickass (love the red dress!)
Here are some images of this “unique” couple. This has been a great advantage of working out of NYC, I get to work on every kind of wedding possible from this alternative wedding in the East Village with this non-traditional couple to a Muslim wedding and destination weddings at the National Cathedral and Mexico beach weddings.
From Kimberly’s Facebook page: ‘”Discovered” Washington Square Park when I was fourteen like generations of others, then later further east. Junkie at sixteen, rehab at eighteen. At nineteen I was a pro-domme, which is where the concept of my first novel, Sex, Blood and Rock’n’Roll, germinated.’

Today’s beautiful real wedding was sent over by White Ivory Photography! Sandra says,
Jennifer and Earl had a beautiful wedding with a vintage vibe at the stunning Crosley Powel Estate in Sarasota, Florida. The bride and groom drove all the way to Florida from Nova Scotia in order to bring along all of the hand-made accents the bride had made to make the estate a welcoming haven for their friends and family who were traveling the same distance to celebrate with them. Twinkling lanterns, glimmering candles, glowing pearls and sparkling crystals were added to flowers, welcome signs, and menu cards to add some vintage glam to every surface. Shades of lavender, gold, creams, and pinks added a classic feel to the already beautiful surroundings. A little bit of rain didn’t dampen anyone’s mood (although it did stop just as the bride walked out of the estate and down the aisle) and the guests danced into the night and enjoyed the Florida sunshine for the rest of their stay.

Today’s real wedding was sent over to us by PostScript Brooklyn, who did the invitations! Photographed by Jason Lee, here’s what the bride had to say about the invitations and event:
We loved our invitations! We had a bunch of leftover, and at first we thought we would keep just a handful and then throw away the rest – but we couldn’t bear to throw any away, so we’ve just kept them all. ;) We are happy to share some photos of our wedding with you. We had such a wonderful time and all of our guests seemed to really enjoy themselves too. In addition to having beautiful invitations, we were very fortunate to have some other creative and hard-working individuals help us with all the other aspects of our wedding. Attached please find some pictures that, to us, highlight the details that we appreciated about our wedding day. As far as what made our day special… well, aside from being able to marry each other, we just really appreciated all the love from our family and friends, throughout not just our relationship but over our entire lives. It was such a wonderful privilege to be able to celebrate and share our special day with so many people that love us and that we love. It was a blast!
Love these beautiful photos, and what nice looking invitations! See the rest of the photos after the jump…
Today’s beautiful real wedding comes from Joanna of St. Jacques Photography!
Jason & Nicole had been together for quite a long time. Many years in fact. Nicole had decidedly told family and friends that she would never get married again under any circumstance. Jason won her over with a great sense of humour and a loving and supportive relationship over time. I was so excited to finally attend and photograph their wedding this August 25th 2012 at an outdoor ceremony that took place in Bolton, Ontario at a family home.

Today we have the gorgeous real wedding of Holly of Cakes and Kisses! She’s an amazing photographer herself, and has a beautiful story about her engagement, the wedding, and her wonderful vendors — check it out below.
From the Bride…We met back in our younger days working at a toy store in Santa Clarita, where we both grew up. We were friends and both knew the timing wasn’t right, and we remained on good terms. Although we hadn’t been in direct contact for years, 10 years later, we reconnected on a social website. I was so delighted to receive his message – I had always thought fondly of him. It seems he thought highly of me too.
We met up for a casual coffee date and talked for hours. During our date we decided we should probably go to a sushi restaurant next time, since neither of us drink coffee– we love sushi. It was this time we knew the timing was right on. From there we started going on more sushi dates, and fell in love.

Today’s wedding comes to us from Open Aperture Photography. I just love the style of Amanda’s dress, what a great way to show off her shoes! Such a lovely couple, we’re excited to share their photos with you. Enjoy!
Eric and Amanda Janson were married 8/19/11 in Beaufort, NC. Eric is an active duty Marine based at MCAS Cherry Point in nearby Havelock, NC.
Living in a large military area, we have quite a few military couples who opt for quick courthouse weddings. Eric and Amanda went that route but decided to make it really personal. They talked the Justice of the Peace into doing it under a covered walkway outside of the Carteret County Courthouse instead of in an office. She wore a wedding dress and he wore his dress blues. Both sets of parents and the groom’s sister were able to attend. They had a small, intimate reception at a local restaurant filled with great details!

This San Francisco wedding from MODERNlite Photography is going to knock your socks right off! From an adorable couple to an ombré cake (adore!) and a pair of heels that will make you want to go shoe shopping…prepare yourself!
We love this wedding not only for its photojournalistic modern elements but also because it demonstrates how couples can use the surrounding architecture as their props instead of purchasing them. The venue took place at the W in San Francisco, with many of the portraits occurring around the MOMA and Moscone Center.

Imagine a three day wedding full of events and entertainment for everyone to enjoy! Douglas Levy Photography had the chance to capture all the wonderful moments of this lively wedding. So much to see, so much to do!
Heidi and Brian live in Wisconsin, where his family owns and runs 10 McDonald’s franchises (see ring shot with french fries!), who opted for a small destination wedding in York, Maine, for 30 of their closest friends and family. They carefully planned out events for each of the three days, which included golf, a clambake, a lobster cruise (unfortunately rained out), a clambake, and ice cream social, and a cooking demo at Stonewall Kitchen.

Today’s Real Wedding comes to us from WeddingPhotoLove’s White Rabbit Studios. Every single thing about this wedding is just darling. Thanks so much for sharing it with us, Ashley!
With handpicked details (including dried okra in the arrangements – so lovely!), delicious Southern cuisine, and loads of love, Katherine and Olly’s wedding was absolutely magical. The ceremony took place in their family church, and the reception was held on a family farm and included bonfires, trampolines, dancing, a photo booth, and an instax guest book/wishing line!
A little background for you, Olly’s family is from England, which is represented in their wedding logo as a white rose. Katherine’s family is from the South so she is represented as the cotton blossom. Olly surprised Katherine with a wood carving of their wedding logo on a log from the area where he proposed to her on a picnic.

Today’s real wedding comes to us from Rose Street Studio. Lake Tahoe is so beautiful, the combination of beach and snow makes for such a great backdrop. And the details? Oh…the details, you’re going to LOVE them.
Fran and Jill are probably two of the nicest people you will ever meet in your life. They’re totally obsessed with their dogs, Lake Tahoe and The San Francisco Giants. They met in 2007 as catastrophe adjusters during the California wildfires. Jill says they truly are best friends and just simply enjoy each other and any activity they take on. How many couples can live and work together in a one bedroom high rise condo, Monday through Friday, and still want to spend the weekend skiing or hiking together? They were chose us as their photographer because of a portrait I had done with a small Woody doll from Toy Story that was featured on our blog. I brought the same Woody doll for their wedding so they could have a similar portrait. The couple wanted a very classic wedding with a little bit of vintage for their decor. Mostly they just wanted to enjoy a beautiful winter wedding in Lake Tahoe, and with a few inches of fresh snow the night before, it was absolutely perfect!
