This gorgeous styled shoot, brought to us by Sadie of Locally Grown Weddings, is bright, airy and full of utterly charming details! Here’s Sadie to tell us more:

We hoped to inspire the traditional couple to bring a bit of rustic vintage chic into their day or a way for a boho-inspired bride & groom to highlight their style while still remaining traditional. We wanted to capture the feel of a fancy backyard soiree with details culled from the farmers market…blackberries in the bouquets, figs on the naked cake & fruit as display components as part of the appetizer buffet & a drink station with cocktails infused with herbs.

See more after the cut!

Cavallo Point was the perfect backdrop for this elegant reception. To highlight the beauty of the faded red roof tops & creamy white buildings tucked under the fog & rolling hills of the Marin headlands, we chose lots of soft greens, deep corals & a hint of peach & blackberry as our color palette.

The sweetheart table had traditional elements but with a rustic boho-flair including the mix & match china & silverware with the deconstructed French side chairs decorated in gorgeous flower swags. The crisp white of the drop leaf table allowed the delicate details to shine. The naked cake didn’t need much decoration, just a few figs, sitting atop the silver cake stand & highlighted with a fabulous floral cake topper picking up on the color of the bridal bouquet. The invitation suite had a traditional feel with a touch of vintage rustic elements.

We wanted to include a fun bar & lounge including the ‘Gents Whiskey, Ale & Cigar Bar’ & a lovely drink station for the ladies including herb-infused cocktails for the ‘Ladies Cocktail Thyme’. Vintage details included cigar boxes, trunks, soda crates  & faded books nestled on & around French-styled side chairs & buffet bringing the inside out.
