Today we’re bringing you this lovely wedding which was held at at Bobrook Farms in Roland, Arkansas and planned by Meredith Events! From the planner:
Elizabeth (Izzy) and Travis were wed on March 24, 2018 at Bobrook Farms in Roland, Arkansas. Izzy has such a classic, elegant way about her mixed in with a pure, down to earth demeanor. Travis was nothing short of agreeable and loving every step of the planning process (smart man!).The style we put together for her wedding truly reflects who she and Travis are as individuals and as a couple.

Q&A with Izzy
Q. How did you meet?
A mutual friend introduced us back in 2010. I was in my last year at Hendrix College and Travis was working on a campaign that had offices in downtown Conway. I would come in and volunteer (mainly to spend time with him).
Q. How did he propose?
In my family’s living room in front of my mom and grandmother. It was a wonderful moment to share with my family.
Q. Describe your wedding design and style.
I wanted my wedding to remain timeless, so I focused on maintaining a classic aesthetic with some bohemian touches. I especially loved the way the floral arrangements and vintage china came together in the interior of the barn where we had our reception.
Q. Did anything interesting or funny happen that you would like to share about your wedding day?
In an attempt to get the classic “dip kiss” photo, we slipped on some loose gravel we were standing on and both took a tumble. I don’t think we’ll ever live that moment down.
Q. What is your favorite memory of your wedding day?
My first dance with my husband. We danced to the Ray Charles’ rendition of “Come Rain or Come Shine”.
Q. Do you have any budget saving tips or advice for other brides-to-be?
Hire a wedding planner! The investment is well worth it because a planner can help you select more cost-effective vendors. Sometimes, smaller vendors do not have a huge social media presence and may be off the radar of websites like The Knot or WeddingWire. I would have never known about my wonderful florist and caterer if it had not been for my planner.
Q. What was your biggest worry and how did you overcome it?
We had a number of children attend our wedding, and I was concerned about some of the logistics (especially our use of vintage china for serving). However, it was important to my fiancé and I to ensure that all of our family and their children could attend and feel welcome. Thankfully, the outdoor portion of the venue was a perfect place for kids to play after the ceremony and my mom brought some glow sticks and cute sunglasses for additional entertainment. I think that children add a really magical element to a wedding and I loved dancing with all of them!
