We’re loving this gorgeous, rustic styled shoot, brought to us by Liv Lyszyk Photography, based in Grand Rapids, MI. Here’s Liv to tell us more:

I was so inspired by the look of Michigan Pines and wanted to create an LGBTQ shoot featuring a non binary couple. As a queer woman I often look for couples that I resonate with in publications. I haven’t found too many non binary people featured and I wanted to showcase Samantha and Brianna’s love. Drawing inspiration from vintage plaid blankets I chose a warm color scheme to go with the cozy vibes I wanted to capture.

The space itself was a bright studio that allowed us to be really intentional and creative with photos. The gorgeous florals from Posh petals paired perfectly with the dresses from BIANKA bridal. The simple and elegant cake from the Cakabakery tied everything together. We did a simple woodland inspired tablescape complete with rentals from The Rental Company and hand lettered goods by Zoey Devine.

Samantha and Brianna were the perfect couple for this shoot. Celebrating queer, non-binary love was so important to me. Their connection and emotions played off each other and Samantha’s goofy nature was balanced with Brianna’s grounded presence.
