This opulent wedding invitation suite comes to us from Celeste Simpson of Impress Me Designs, based in Boston, MA! Here’s Celeste to tell us more about the designs and the inspiration behind them:

The styled shoot took place at Aldworth Manor in the Monadnock region of Harrisville, NH.  It truly is a diamond in the rough and you wouldn’t know it’s there coming down the long dirt road only for it to open up into this majestic piece of history and vast property that overlooks the Monadnock Mountain. The manor is in the midst of being restored to its glory days and no detail is being overlooked.

See more after the cut!

When it came time to design for the styled shoot, our direction was to inspire a black tie affair as if the early 1900’s was only yesterday and the art of the fountain pen and hand-drawn calligraphy were an everyday habit (shown in the romantic script fonts used in all of the stationery.)  The graphics mimic the movement of elegant florals and garlands of greenery.

A custom cut treasury gold, oversized envelope enclosed the entire wedding invitation suite.  The ceremony program is tied with raw Dupioni silk ribbon and lays on top of antique books and a church pew  found on the premises of the manor.  Matching dinner menus and place cards added a decorative touch to the tablescape and champagne station.  The entire suite was printed onto ivory cotton stock using offset print.
