Today’s charming real wedding comes to us from Karen Feder Photography, based in St. Michael, Minnesota! Here’s Sarah, the lovely bride, to tell us more:
Peter and I met and fell in love at the University of Wisconsin – Madison and were together eight years before we made it down the aisle. During that time, we had the opportunity to attend many weddings which helped us decide what we wanted our own wedding to be like.
See more after the cut!
We wanted something different, and one that reflected our personalities and relationship – fun and contemporary with a hint traditional. We love picnics and brunch, and some of our favorite memories from college include daytime gatherings with friends, so we decided on an elegant brunch wedding and incorporated a red gingham picnic pattern as a tribute to our alma mater’s colors.
Our ceremony and reception both took place at Town & Country Club in St. Paul, MN. We chose the venue for its beautiful outdoor space as well as its understated elegance. It was also located only blocks from my mother and stepfather’s home so I was able to get ready for the big day with my best friends and family members. The convenient location also allowed Peter and I to take a pedi-cab to the ceremony which was not only a fun experience, but made for some unique wedding day photos!
Congratulations Sarah & Peter and thank you Karen for sharing! For more information about Karen Feder Photography, please visit her website.
