Today’s charming engagement shot comes to us from Bob Mackowski of Open Aperture Photography, based in New Bern, NC! Here’s Bob to tell us more:
Ernie’s proposal to Erin took place next to the fountain in James Reed Lane, a notable local alleyway, in historic downtown New Bern. As far as Erin knew, it was supposed to be a couples’ portrait of the two of them. It started out like that with us taking a couple portraits.
See more after the cut!
We returned to our original location near the fountain for the proposal. I had been holding the ring so that Ernie didn’t have a questionable ring box-sized bulge in his pants. I slipped it to him while my wife/second shooter pretended to fix Erin’s hair.
Once we got to this point, the proposal went without a hitch. Of course she was surprised and she said yes. Both the bride and the groom are active duty Marines based at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, located about a half hour away from New Bern.
Congrats to the happy couple and thank you, Bob, for sharing! For more information about Open Aperture Photography, please visit their WeddingLovely Vendor Guide profile.
