I have a soft spot for New England weddings, so I was pretty excited to see this invitation set in my mailbox from Sophie at Sweet Zion Paperie. The color palette and nautical design elements are perfect for a Massachusetts wedding! Here’s what Sophie shared with us:

Kate and Patrick were one of the most fun couples I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Their love story had me all tied up in knots – Literally!

The couple met in Boston where Patrick had landed post-graduation and continued to follow his love for sailing and where Kate studied at Berklee School of Music.

After several sailing trips, several bowls of clam chowder, and several family functions, Kate and Patrick decided to tie the proverbial “knot” and become Captain and First Mate.

Of course, one may think of the infamous Popeye when a maritime theme is mentioned, but this couple sailed in the direction of fun, simple, and bright. However, as powerful as spinach was to good ol’ Popeye, I believe the same could be said about what yellows, blues, and greys are doing in the wedding industry right now.

Kate and Patrick hopped on this bandwagon and together we created this really beautiful invitation piece featuring their love for sailing and their spunky color palette, all while wrapped in elegance. Enjoy!
