Birdhouse Stationery (6)

Today’s beautiful featured invitation is from Carrie of Birdhouse Stationery, who writes:

Like many of my clients, this bride was referred to me because she had a pretty clear idea of the “look” she was hoping for, and absolutely no idea how to make it happen. This has been one of my favorite (and most popular!) projects because we were able to work together to create exactly what she was looking for.

She knew she wanted an invitation that was “cool, chic, and urban”, and we chose to incorporate the skyline of the couple’s home city, Chicago. With a dark grey pocket folder to organize her reception and response cards, we layered lemonade yellow card stock beneath the light grey invitation card for a pop of color.

To pull that color throughout the invitation suite, I created a custom envelope liner with a fun tiled pattern, and we added yellow mailing labels to the grey outer envelope and coordinating grey labels to the yellow response envelope.

Because I’ve received so many requests, the same design is now available in lots of variations – as flat invitations, with alternate city skylines, and in many more color combinations. As with all of my original designs, it is totally customizable to fit any location, color scheme, or price range, and I always happily accept custom projects!
