Love todays featured invitation design by Preppy Paperie, and even more so since we featured the Save the Date design back in the fall! Ashley says,

Last fall I created Lisa and Mike’s custom map Save the Date. When it came time to design the wedding invitation suite, Lisa and Mike had a significant amount of input in the design. They wanted to keep with the rustic nautical theme with adding touches of burlap and twine…

Using the same cream luxe textured stock, I created an invitation focused on typography with small nautical motifs. The typography focus also shown through in the Accommodations card.

My favorite touch is the map envelope liner — a nod back to the Save the Dates. The RSVP postcard (a great way to save money in postage) had a bit of whimsey with the entree symbols instead of the standard “beef”, “chicken”, and “seafood”.

To complete the look, I wrapped the invitation set in burlap ribbon and tied it up with twine. This wedding suite is one of my absolute favorites — which is why it is now for resale in my store!
