Today’s charming real wedding, brought to us by Martin Makowski Photography, is full of sweet details and warm smiles! Here’s Pete and Jenny to tell us more:
We were set up on a blind date by 2 of our best friends. We just met for a casual coffee in town one Saturday afternoon. We immediately got on well and enjoyed each other’s company. Within a month we were ‘officially’ dating and just short of 2 years later Pete proposed.
See more after the cut!
We got married the following August so had just over a year to plan the wedding. The feel we wanted for the day was very informal and fun, where people would feel relaxed and able to let their hair down. Our wedding colour was based on ‘lavender’ and we were also able to use lavender for the floral arrangements.
Whilst we went to Highfields Park in Nottingham to have a few photos taken, the rest of our guests made their way to Attenborough Village Hall. We had hired the venue the whole day previously also in order to have enough time to decorate it as we wanted. Pete’s mum handmade all of the bunting and one of our friends created all the lighting for us.
We had a spontaneous first dance under the tree in the garden of the village hall. It was a really lovely moment that we couldn’t really have planned for. Immediately after that, we all entered the village hall to start the Irish Ceilidh, a fab time of dancing and swinging each other round the hall. Overall it was a perfect day for us that we could not have wanted any other way.
Congratulations to the happy couple and thank you Martin for sharing! For more information about Martin Makowski Photography, please visit his WeddingLovely Vendor Guide profile or head straight to his website.
