The garden meets the sea in this delightful real wedding brought to us by Laura Kunoth of Bluebell Florals, based in Carlsbad, CA! Here’s Laura to tell us more:
The bride and groom wanted a garden inspired wedding at the beach so chose to have their wedding at the lovely Sheraton Carlsbad Resort which has the perfect combination of both. They had their ceremony in the garden with a spectacular ocean view so guests could enjoy both of the things they loved the most; the garden and the beach.
See more after the cut!

The bride wanted the bouquets to be classic, yet garden-y, so we used a mix of blush pink garden roses and tulips, ivory roses, white scabiosa, pale green hydrangea and a few accents of feather eucalyptus for all of the bouquets.
The garden pastel colors of the bouquets accented the bridesmaid’s ocean blue dresses perfectly!
The bride’s father built the bamboo arch for the ceremony and we decorated it with hydrangea, roses, and orchids mixed with lots of lush greenery. We lined the aisle with shepherds hooks holding mason jars full of eucalyptus, roses, orchids, and scabiosa flowers and pods, and each side of the aisle was sprinkled with rose petals.
Although I loved all of the florals for this wedding, my favorite piece had to be the massive 5′ tall arrangement at the entrance to the ceremony and reception. A family friend of the bride’s family donated the stunning orchids for their wedding so we had to put them to good use! We mixed the phalaenopsis and cattleya orchids with roses, hydrangea, greenery, and even a few starfish submerged in the vase; it was the perfect mix for their beach-garden wedding.
