Vintage glamour and lush greenery abound in this elegant fall wedding brought to us by Marilisa Schachinger of Chancey Charm! Here’s Marilisa to tell us more:
College sweethearts Lexi & Brad were wed on Saturday, October 10th, 2015 in front of 200 of their dearest friends and family members at The Estate, tucked away in the heart of Buckhead, Georgia. The couple enlisted the help of event planner Marilisa Schachinger, of Chancey Charm, to bring their vision to fruition.
See more after the cut!
Their October wedding was inspired by a garden party with Gatsby-esque glamor so they incorporated soft purple and gray tones, as well as mixed metals, and lush greenery to complete the look and feel. With the help of event designer Marilisa, the couple sought to blend traditional elements with a truly romantic aesthetic. They recruited many of Atlanta’s talented creatives to bring their vision to life in one of Georgia’s most stunning venues.
While the couple is not from the south, they welcomed guests with true southern hospitality at every turn. From the Georgia-themed welcome bags to the champagne passed as guests arrived for the ceremony, their friends and family felt taken care of all day long.
The couple wanted to honor both their family’s faiths in their ceremony so they celebrated with an inter-faith ceremony. The outdoor ceremony included a birch chuppah in honor of Brad’s Jewish faith and a unity candle for Lexi’s Catholic faith. Perhaps one of the most special design details was the runner custom made by Lexi’s mother. Towards the end of the ceremony, rain drops began to come down so everyone ran inside the foyer for the couple to complete their vows and seal their covenant with a kiss. It was a sweet and memorable moment enjoyed by all!
After Lexi & Brad were wed, guests we welcomed to the second floor of the home for cocktail hour complete with music performed by the bride’s cousin. Since The Estate is a renovated home-turned-event space, guests felt as if they walked into an intimate and personal party thanks to engagement photos of the couple on the mantles and quotes about love on the mirror. Floral garlands adorned every staircase and mantle, as well as down the guest tables.
When it was time for dinner, everyone gathered in the main ballroom for first dances, toasts and delicious cuisine created by Legendary Events. The focal point of the ballroom was a 10′ x 10′ floral chandler above the dance floor. Once the sun had set and cake was cut and passed, the dance party began and Yacht Rock Revue kept the dance floor packed until the sparkler send-off. It was a beautiful and memorable day for all!
