Look at the floral decorations used in these photos, they are gorgeous! C Jane Events has a great eye for details and colors. Thank you for sharing with us today!
1. Tell us a bit about yourself and your company.
I’m a bay area native, and a former professional ballerina turned event planner. I really fell in love with events during my time as a ballerina, as that career took me to events across the country and around the world. I started planning events when I left ballet, and after seven years, I founded C Jane Productions, a boutique event planning company, that specializes in weddings, social occasions, non-profit and corporate events.

2. How did you get into wedding planning?
I had a close friend who was living in North Carolina, but wanted to get married in San Francisco. At the time, I was primarily planning non-profit and corporate events, and hadn’t focused on weddings. She asked me if I would plan her wedding, and I did – and it was a fantastic experience! That was six years ago, and I’ve been planning them ever since.
3. What’s your favorite part of the job?
My event philosophy is that an event is a memory built to last. And my favorite part of the job is creating that memory that will stay with my clients and their guests long after the event has passed. I love getting to know my clients, and always feel honored to be a part of building that memory for them.
4. What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned, and would pass along to other new wedding planners just getting started?
No detail is too small when it comes to planning! Always plan for each possible situation that you may encounter on the day of the event, and learn to think quickly on your feet!
5. What are your hobbies or non-work-related activities?
Usually on my off-time, I’m in a dance class, or a Pilates class. I’m also a little bit of a foodie – I’m always baking and trying new restaurants.
6. Any great stories from working with a client?
I did a birthday celebration where the guest of honor – who was celebrating his 70th birthday – joined the jazz trio that was playing to sing, and he had one of the most amazing voices I’d ever heard! He packed the dance floor.
7. What is your current favorite color combination?
I tend to be a minimalist when it comes to colors. I love the white/ivory/green scheme, with white underlays, ivory overlays, and accents of green in the florals. This summer, I loved the white/tangerine/pink scheme with the tangerine and pink as the accents.
8. Are there any trends that you absolutely love or would love to see brides leave behind?
There are two fun trends that I do love. One is the late night snack station – you can do anything from elegant hors d’oeuvres to breakfast burritos (guests love it at the end of a long late night reception). I also like personalized photo booths at receptions. While they are not a replacement for a traditional photographer, they create fantastic photo.
