This gorgeous, colorful destination wedding comes to us from Melissa Mercado Photography, based in Playa del Carmen, Mexico! Here’s Melissa to tell us more:
Doreen and Marcus dreamt of a very intimate and bohemian wedding in paradise – Tulum, Mexico. They’ve been together for 10 years with 2 children from Marcus’ first marriage – Marc, 17 and Marcella 13, and their baby daughter – Marlene, 4 months old. They absolutely love traveling as often as they can to countries like Morocco, Iceland and Russia. A few years ago they visited Mexico and absolutely fell in love with the country.

On the white powdery sand beaches of Tulum, their bohemian “love ceremony” was complete with an ethereal white canopy, colorful tropical flowers and simple wooden chairs for their 18 guests. Doreen looked like a bohemian goddess in her white lace wedding dress and flower crown while Marcus sported a casual cream suit.
After the ceremony, they enjoyed a gorgeous candlelit dinner at the exclusive Hechizo Restaurant in Tulum known for their flavorful and innovative dishes. Colorful flowers in wooden boxes acted as simple and rustic centerpieces. Their vision of a relaxed, romantic and intimate wedding was truly a success – combining sunshine, great food, cocktails, music and most importantly, their closest family and friends.
Congratulations Doreen & Marcus and thank you Melissa for sharing! For more information about Melissa Mercado Photography, please visit her website.
