Tell us a bit about yourself and your company.

Though it is hard for the person to talk about himself but I will try to say the main characteristic features I have. I am energetic, perfectionist, I love when everything is in order and I try to arrange things accordingly, Everything should be in its folder. Thoughts of creating Wedding Armenia came to me about 10 years ago, when there was no one doing such a job in our market.

Due to our long time experience and having the biggest wedding team in Armenia we know that each wedding is unique and should be organized on the basis of couple’s dreams for that day, which requires time, attention to details and, of course, good supervision. This is why Wedding Armenia is here to coordinate the planning process taking away all the stress and inconvenience.

How did you get into wedding planning?

Being involved in HoReCa management for many years, thought of founding my own company wasn’t letting me alone. After thinking thoroughly about the concept, all the process, and efforts needed I understood that it’s worth trying. But it would have been hard for me to start it alone, so I decided to involve my friends into the process too. My wishes, aims, plans justified themselves, because the satisfaction I get from the job I’m doing now was worth trying.

What’s your favorite part of the job?

I enjoy the whole process of the planning, starting with getting acquainted with the mail of requirements till the last wishes to the clients. This job requires huge amount of creativity and I love to “torture” my brain for new ideas and offers, this is a big satisfaction. I learned psychology of the clients and understand their needs and later offer them more than they were expecting me to give. Seeing the thankful and happy eyes of the client in the end of the event, gives me a big satisfaction, cause I understand that my team did the job perfectly well.

What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned, and would pass along to other new wedding planners just getting started?

All the companies make mistakes in the beginning of their business. This job requires precise attention to the details. I would recommend wedding planners just getting started to be very attentive to every offer they make and always hire “fresh” minds, and train professionalism in them.

What are your hobbies or non-work-related activities?

I have a lot of hobbies, but mostly I enjoy golf and horse riding. I also like to travel, which helps me find new places and new people. This can be considered as not only a hobby but also work-related activity. Traveling helps me find new wedding locations also.

Any great stories from working with a client?

Every client is unique, so working with each one gives me big satisfaction. As the work is related with people, so I get to know different characters, habits, sometimes good, sometimes weird. But in the end every client is fun to work with, not only because you always learn new things from him or her, but also you gain new friends.

What is your current favorite color combination?

I love “calm” colors. Nothing too bright. I love the combination of caramel color with white.

Are there any trends that you absolutely love or would love to see brides leave behind?

I love a new trend of organizing weddings in outdoor venues. For example couple can choose a vineyard and make a very classy setup. It looks very nice when the guests dressed all in a classic style merge with the nature.

I would recommend the brides and grooms to leave the marble restaurant style of wedding and move to a new, unique and creative environment.

What tips or advice can you give to couples who are in the midst of planning?

I would advise them to trust the planning to the professionals. To be comfortable with them, because they will do everything accordingly.
