Today’s wedding stationer interview is with Disha & Harsh, co-owners of Customizing Creativity, based in Mumbai, India! Enjoy:
How did you get started doing wedding invitations?
Disha started out over 6 years ago while she was still studying design in college. We noticed that there were people doing lots of template based designs for the invites and we thought there was an opportunity out there to capture a market that is looking to customize Invitations for their special occasions.

What is your favorite color combination?
There is nothing in particular we can pin point, but making colorful invites is what we love doing. From our work you will notice there is always a splash of color to complement the design.
What is the most unique invitation you have designed?
Last season we designed a Invite for a Destination Wedding in Thailand. We conceptualized a design that had a Fan inside the Invite, similar to a pop up invite. The idea was to let the guests get a sense of the destination and get them excited for the wedding celebrations.
What is the most bizarre request you have received?
We receive multiple requests to make 3D invites, Invites that play music when we open up :P
Ampersand or the word “and?”
We actually use a mix of both at times. Usually part of a sentence we would use the word ‘and’. But when you are using them for the couples names, we use the ‘&’, even in the design at times.
Any advice for brides?
Brides must plan in advance if they are looking at a very customized design.
Also, it’s good to know what you want, but not being too rigid or fixed upon it, as that may not give the designer enough space to create something unique & creative.
Do you offer more than just stationery?
We do provide a unique service, where we go to the destination where the wedding is taking place and package all the gifts and giveaways, the reason this cannot be done and packed in boxes is because the ribboning’s don’t look fresh and tend to get squeezed.
