Tell us a bit about yourself and your company.
We’re Kristin and Tim Gibson, high school sweethearts, husband and wife and wedding photographer tag team. Hailing from the 614 and currently serving Columbus, OH, and surrounding areas, we’ve made it our mission to capture couples’ unique love in a unique way. And we believe everyone deserves to have their own unique style captured on camera, so they can enjoy their ‘big day’ and happily relive this once-in-a-lifetime experience, over and over again. We truly do want our couples to look at their wedding photos and forever think, “Yep. TOTALLY us.”

How did you get into wedding photography?
Honestly, we love weddings. And we love photos, and eventually, two worlds collided in 2013. We’ve now been photographing weddings exclusively together for 4 years all while killin’ it on the dance floors across Columbus.
What is your favorite part of the wedding day to capture?
So the reason most of our clients choose us (other than being amazing at what we do) is that we have two different answers here, which means our clients get two different perspectives and strengths. For Kristin, the best part of the wedding day is the moment when you’re pronounced husband + husband, husband + wife, or wife+wife. The excitement is so incredible! For Tim, it’s the reception, silly dancing, all smiles, and super fun!
What is the most awkward moment you’ve experienced while on the job?
Well, we’d never share our client’s secrets, so we’ll just say that what happens on the dance floor stays on the dance floor.
What is your favorite venue and why?
Again, we have different opinions. Kristin’s is High Line Car House, it has so much character being somewhat industrial, modern, and it has a balcony for getting those aerial photos. Tim’s is But honestly, there are so many really great venues in Columbus.
Nikon or Canon?
What is your dream location to shoot a wedding?
Oh wow… Bali, Cozumel, Paris, Northern Ireland to name a few.
If you could shoot any celebrity wedding (past, present or future), who would be the lucky couple?
John Legend + Chrissy Teigen, Eric + Jessie James Decker, or the royal couple!
What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned, and would pass along to other new wedding photographers just getting started?
The biggest lesson we’ve learned has been to be true to ourselves, and that in turn helps our clients to relax and be true to themselves on the most important day of their lives.
What tips or advice can you give to couples who are looking to hire a photographer to cover their big day?
Get to know your photographers (and other vendors). We tell our couples, we’ll be your personal paparazzi so if we don’t hit it off, you aren’t going to love your photos. Will you be able to trust them? Can they make you laugh? And do you like their style? Style is more than just tones of imagery. Look at their posing, the expressions, and the authenticity in the photos.
