Tell us a bit about yourself and your company.

Well, we are Hani and Jorge a wedding photographer’s marriage. We love this job because we capture timeless images for the couples we have the joy to work for. We work as a team, while Hani is doing that I’m doing this. In this way we never miss a moment and we have two different angles to tell the story of the wedding day.

How did you get into wedding photography?

I never thought of doing weddings for a living. One day, a friend invited me to shoot a wedding with him and was captured. Then I started working for a wedding studio here in Puebla and did a lot of weddings there and about a year later I went on my own.

What is your favorite part of the wedding day to capture?

Definitely what I love most is the portrait session and the dance floor. I love the portrait session because I want to create great photos for the couples. I look for compositions or colors to work with or maybe I have an idea in my head waiting for the right couple and the right environment to come true and for the dance floor, I love this part of the day because you can see how people transforms into really energetic characters.

What is the most awkward moment you’ve experienced while on the job?

I got to this wedding where the groom was from France and neither he nor any of his family  spoke a word of English or Spanish. The bride was the only one in the wedding who spoke Spanish and French. So, for anything photo related I had to speak to the bride and then she had to translate to the groom or the groom’s family. Also, the bride and groom’s family didn’t know each other until the wedding day and since there was a language barrier it was like two different weddings where going on, one on the groom’s side and one on the bride’s side.

What is your favorite venue and why?

My favorite locations for weddings, are Hacienda Weddings, and beach weddings. This type of location is always inspiring and full of colors.

Nikon or Canon?

Canon forever! Love my 6d bodies.

What is your dream location to shoot a wedding?

Somewhere in Asia like Thailand.

If you could shoot any celebrity wedding (past, present or future), who would be the lucky couple?

Anybody from the rolling stones, just imagine how crazy that wedding would had been.

What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned, and would pass along to other new wedding photographers just getting started?

Wedding photography is not an easy job, you really have to study a lot, you have to know how to control the light to your advantage, there’s really a lot going on to get the pictures and you only have seconds to do it.

What tips or advice can you give to couples who are looking to hire a photographer to cover their big day?

Find a photographer with a consistent look and quality and be sure you like the photographer as a person so you feel comfortable around him or her on your wedding day.
