Today’s wedding stationer interview is with Kristin, the Owner and Creative Director of Brown Fox Creative! Enjoy:

How did you get started doing wedding invitations?

After my own wedding I realized there weren’t many options for truly personalized wedding stationery. I wanted to offer couples the option to create wedding invitations that really reflected the couple and their big day. I decided to start Brown Fox Creative three years ago and haven’t looked back since!

What is your favorite color combination?

Right now I love anything with a metallic rose gold, which pairs nicely with shades of pink and turquoise.

What is the most unique invitation you have designed?

I created a moroccan/indian/asian invitation and it was so fun to use several bright colors that are common with those cultures as well as the sharp, blooming geometric shapes. As a final touch I added in some wood textures and the suite was complete.

Do you have a favorite typeface?

Not one in particular, but I love anything calligraphy or hand written.

What is the most bizarre request you have received?

Costume choice boxes on the RSVP card for a wedding so the couple would know what the guests would be coming dressed up as.

Ampersand or the word “and?”

Ampersand – there are so many pretty options!

Any advice for brides?

Your invitation is the first peek into your big day. When your guests open it they should know right away if it’s formal/informal, traditional/modern, perhaps what the venue may be like or simply screams YOU.

Do you offer more than just stationery?

Yes, we offer any paper products that you may need for your big day. We also offer fans, favors, door hangers, puzzles, cocktail napkins, cake toppers and more!
