This stunning mountain top winter wedding comes to us from Heather Spear of Summit Soiree based in Truckee, CA! Here she is to tell us more:
Jaime and Scott wanted an adventurous winter wedding and that’s exactly what they got. Their wedding was held on the mountain top of Northstar Ski Resort. Guests took two gondolas to get there and on the morning of the wedding we got hit with the biggest snowstorm of the season. That didn’t stop Jaime and Scott though they still wanted to proceed as planned and didn’t skip a beat. We were prepared to keep the guests as comfortable and warm as possible. We offered hot cocoa, and white furry blankets during the standing outdoor mountain top ceremony.
See more after the cut!
The couple wanted their wedding to feel comfortable and cozy with a mountain theme. Blue and green plaid blankets adorned the accent tables, vintage ski’s were used for the guest book, mini pine cones were accents for the name cards and a suitcase was used for cards. The couple didn’t want typical formal flower center pieces so they had green garlands as runners down the wood farm tables with pine cones and berries mixed in.
The bridesmaids were dressed in long black dresses with brown faux fur shrugs while the bride wore a strapless gown with a beaded bodice, black sash and a light brown faux fur shrug. The guys were in black suits with grey sweaters and blue and green plaid bow ties. All were wearing snow boots of course!! After the ceremony the bride and groom took a ride on a snowmobile for a few minutes of private time before joining the party.
