This fun, stylish engagement shoot comes to us from Bryan Sargent Photography, based in New York, NY! Here’s Bryan to tell us more:
Devon and Jordan met in Philadelphia in the spring of 2015 on Hinge. Following their first date over coffee in West Philly, Jordan and Devon have traveled the world together (even visiting Jordan’s hometown of Auckland, New Zealand), enjoyed spending time down the shore on Long Beach Island with Devon’s family, attended rugby matches, explored the food scene of Philly and fallen in love.
See more after the cut!
They got engaged on a sunny day in late January following a trip to Jeweler’s row in Philadelphia. Together they picked out the perfect engagement ring and went back to the apartment to make brunch and head to the roof deck of their apartment where Jordan got down on one knee to propose (with their dog, Toby, watching close by!). It was an incredibly special moment because they made the decision to get married together and truly shared the experience of taking the next step towards a lifetime spent by each other’s side.
The rest of their engagement day was spent driving to the suburbs to surprise Devon’s family and Facetiming across the world with Jordan’s family in England, Australia and New Zealand to share the news.
Their engagement session took place in all of the couple’s favorite Philly spots: in their neighborhood of Old City, along the Delaware River and at their favorite waterside bar, Morgan’s Pier. It was a hot and sunny day – perfect for strolling the cobblestone streets of Old City – and ending with a refreshing beer when all was said and done… just the way all engagement shoots should end!
Cheers to the happy couple and thank you, Bryan, for sharing! For more information about Bryan Sargent Photography, please visit his WeddingLovely Vendor Guide profile or head straight to his website.
