Today we’re excited to bring you this interview with Sarah of Britten Weddings! Take it away, Sarah:
Tell us a bit about yourself and your company.
I run Britten Weddings and its sister company Wedding Garter Co. with my husband Matthew in the beautiful town of Bradford-on-Avon in the South West of England. Britten focuses on a range of wedding accessories including veils, hair pieces and jewellery, whereas Wedding Garter Co. specialises in (you guessed it!) bridal garters. All of our bridal accessories are handcrafted by our wonderful team in our ancient studio, which also serves as a luxurious bridal boutique.
I’m here with a heavy heart to let you know that I’ll be shutting down WeddingLovely at the end of the year after nearly eight years in business.
I taught myself how to code and launched WeddingLovely by myself in January 2011 because I wanted a wedding vendor directory that focused on local and small businesses. I’ve learned so much from running WeddingLovely and loved all the stories and successes from vendors in our vendor network, and the brides and grooms using our online wedding planner.
Unfortunately, this year we’ve had a lot of problems with revenue due to some major Google SEO changes. I’ve also looked back over the last few years and found WeddingLovely’s features have been out of date and have grown stale, and there have been many new vendor-focused businesses that have launched that do what we’ve been doing and doing it better. And I personally lost my passion for the wedding industry and decided that it’s time for me to spend my focus elsewhere.
I’m still looking at how the business will shut down — at the moment, the plan is to close our properties (https://weddinglovely.com, https://weddinglovely.com/vendors, as well as our specialized directories like https://weddinginvitelove.com and others) at the end of the year. Ideally I’ll keep the blog up so you continue to get traffic to your websites through that, but that may have to close as well when I dissolve the corporation. Regardless, I’ll be in touch with more detail later once everything is figured out.
Thank you to everyone for your support over the years! -Tracy
Today we’re so delighted to bring you the gorgeous wedding of Bara and Jason, submitted by Wiskow & White! A bit about the wedding:
Bara & Jason wanted a laid back, rustic villa styled reception for their civil wedding ceremony in Tuscany, Italy. When Bara & Jason first got in touch, we knew that they’d be lots of fun to plan with. They have their own furniture and styling company and this led to our collaboration on a really chic and modern design of their wedding day. We used grays and pale yellows as well as pebbles, to create this awesome tablescape.
The Wedding Shoppe is a family owned business that began over 40 years ago. We have helped countless couple’s over the years and because of our large selection and unique shopping experience, have grown to be one of the largest bridal salons in the country.
Located in St. Paul, MN on the historic Grand Avenue, The Wedding Shoppe is comprised of four Victorian houses that make-up our retail stores. We have two houses for our bridal department, one house for our bridesmaid department, and one for our menswear department.
Creating happiness isn’t our job, it’s our passion. We ensure that a couple’s wedding will be one of the most important days of their life—settling for nothing but the best. We are industry-leaders who care about our customers, and it’s the reviews from those customers that help us create memorable experiences for every visitor, whether on our website or in our Saint Paul store.

Gold and white accents make any occasion elegant and romantic. We added a touch of bold colors to accentuate the bright colors of the Cabo energy. The shoot includes the gorgeous decor in both day and night to spot the smalls details from the gold accents to the dim and amorous candles. Our styled shoot is perfect for any bride who cannot decide from an earthly feel without compromising the elegance of a luxury wedding.

Oh, how sweet it is! When two dentists envisioned the wedding of their dreams, it just made sense to incorporate all the sweet confections they could imagine. In addition to a gorgeous 3 tier cake covered in soft pink peonies, Kristianne and JV offered plenty of sweets to choose from. The blush pink-themed candy bar, decadent donut bar, crème filled cannoli bar, alma mater cake pops, Friendly’s Ice Cream Bar with all the fixings and candy-filled-tooth-shaped groom’s cake gave everyone plenty of energy to celebrate the night away.
More about the wedding and all the gorgeous photos can be found after the cut:
Today we’re happy to bring you photos of this lovely invitation design by Brown Fox Creative! A bit about the invitation:
For her destination wedding in Jamaica, Linda simply wanted a gorgeous, simple invitation that reflected the color scheme of her day — blush and gold. She decided on a gold, foil-like frame around the invitation, and a pretty calligraphy style script.

Tell us a bit about yourself and your company
I have always been a social justice type of person. In all honesty, it’s the reason I became a photographer in the first place. There has always been a huge part of me that desires to do good, or to make a difference in the lives of others, even if it means just making a simple task easier to achieve for someone. Apaige Photography is a business, yes, but also is connected to many non-profits, and social justice movements. I do all I can to connect to local businesses, raise funds for non-profits, and show the world that all people including different sizes, races, and genders are beautiful.
