The Most Romantic Ways to Propose in New York (7)

How important is a wedding ring? Depends on your beliefs and your wallet. Beliefs vary from one couple to another.

Some couples feel it shows one’s commitment to each other. They believe the ring represents the beginning of their lives together and a commitment to one another. The ring symbolizes two hearts beating as one. A statement that expresses not only love, but also a daily reminder that every decision affects one another. A ring is a form of silent communication that says how important each other are. A reminder of both happy and sad times.

Some couples feel there is no need or reason to wear a ring. They find rings are more of a nuisance and an expense that hinders a marriage during the early years. Others feel it is a sign of ownership more than commitment. What is in their heart is all that that matters, and a ring does not show those feelings.

How much should couples spend on wedding rings? Be careful. Many couples begin a marriage in debt due to ring price. There was once a diamond company that suggested a ring should cost two months salary to get more people to invest more money into diamond rings. When buying your partner a wedding ring, spend only what you can afford. Remember, the true meaning of what the ring stands for, your undying love, devotion and commitment to one another.

Which now leads me to a company that understands the importance of a wedding ring, and looks to please and satisfy your fashion and budget. Today we’re excited to bring you this interview with Cindy B. Thymius Photography of Memphis, TN! Take it away Cindy:

Tell us a bit about yourself and your company:

I grew up in the Appalachian Mountains and attended what is now known as University of the Cumberlands, a small private Christian college. I earned a BS in English, with a minor in Communications. In 2003, I opened up my photography business in West Palm Beach, FL. My family and I moved to Memphis, TN in 2007, and we have found our forever home. I am a wedding and portrait photographer. I believe portraits should look genuine, real, relaxed, and timeless. I’m very proud that my images have a very natural look to them. If you compare a photo I took 15 years ago, 10 years ago, 5 years ago, even yesterday, my style has always remained constant and classic. Photography fads come and go. I don’t think your wedding photos should be a test for photography fads.

Matt and Brianna's Martha's Vineyard Real Wedding (11)

Today we’re happy to bring you this beautiful Martha’s Vineyard real wedding, planned by Chancey Charm! A bit about the wedding:

Matt and Brianna live on Cape Cod, but ventured over to Martha’s Vineyard with 100 of their closest friends and family in June of this year. They selected the private and beautiful Stoney Hill Road House for their wedding day as they wanted a home for their entire bridal party for the weekend, as well as privacy for their ceremony and reception. Brianna wanted the wedding to be a party, and that was reflected with the amazing band, FreeStyle, from Boston, as well as the Let’s Dance sign over the band! Some nautical ties to the reflect the island were brought in, like the metal anchor bottle openers, which were placed on each place setting at the tented dinner, along with the navy suits the boys wore for the wedding. A mix of barn wood tables with garlands and round tables, with candlesticks and greenery were the classic elements to keep their look timeless.
