Romantic, vintage inspired details abound in today’s real wedding, brought to us by Kelly of Faith Photography, Inc., based in Knoxville, TN! Here’s Kelly to tell us more:
Chantelle and Josh met on a blind date. Chantelle seems a little more outgoing and silly. Josh seems a little more quiet, until you get to know him. Josh is a hoot! He is a calming force with Chantelle; they complement each other well. They LOVE UT Vols football, hiking, backpacking, and just being together. They enjoy life. Josh asked Chantelle to marry him at Falling Water Falls in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Josh took Chantelle on a surprise hike to the top of the waterfall where he popped the question. As if anything could top that, Chantelle and Josh went on an Alaskan honeymoon.
See more after the cut!
Chantelle and Josh chose The Whitestone Country Inn for their summer wedding after having a couple of picnics there; they fell in love with the grounds. Chantelle and Josh’s wedding was classic chic with a bit of a vintage feel. Chantelle and Josh chose ivory, blush, and gold as their colors. Chantelle wore a stunning, classic ivory and lace appliqué dress complimented by her mother’s veil, which Chantelle’s grandmother had made. Her “something blue” was “I Do” on the bottom of her wedding shoes.
There were about 200 guests present for the wedding. Personal friends of Chantelle and Josh conducted the wedding and read scriptures; it was a sweet, simple ceremony. The reception was definitely a fun atmosphere with Music In Motion at the helm! There was a full on dance party and there was a very special old society tradition of being sung out as a couple from the sorority. Josh even played a little air guitar, which is one of my very favorite things.
There was a cake for all of the guests, but with Chantelle avoiding gluten, their wedding cake was homemade by Chantelle’s Nana. It was a scrumptious gluten free strawberry cake. The Whitestone Inn catered the meal, which was delicious!
At the end of the night, Chantelle and Josh went down by the lake where it was quiet and performed a foot washing ceremony for each other. It was humbling for us to watch this sweet couple humble themselves, and serve each other quietly. That was a first for us as photographers, and it was an honor to be a part of it.
Congratulations Chantelle & Josh and thank you Kelly for sharing! For more information about Faith Photography, please visit their WeddingLovely Vendor Guide profile.
