Urban ruins are an interesting setting for an engagement photo session, don’t you think? This engagement shoot comes to us from Rhonda Giedt Photography, LLC based in Belmont,California. Here’s what Rhonda has to say about this shoot:
Ashley & Chad wanted their engagement session to highlight the city that they both grew up in, San Francisco but also wanted it to be unique and showcase their fun personalities. We selected The Sutro Baths which is a historical landmark in San Francisco and provides stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and historic Cliff House.
See more after the cut!
The story of how Chad popped the question is adorable. A few weeks before asking Ashley to marry him, he joked around about getting engaged and caught her a bit off guard. Not sure if he was serious, she didn’t know quite what to say. He let her know he was just joking, but knew from her reaction when he asked for real that she would say yes. A few weeks later, he brought home a small cake from her favorite bakery with the question scrolled in icing on the top. There was no doubt that this was a ‘for real’ proposal and she jumped into his arms with a big yes!
With this story, their sassy personalities, and wanting to highlight their hometown, the Sutro Baths was perfect for their engagement session. The ruins where the Sutro Baths use to be provide an urban feel but also showcases the history that San Francisco has. It’s romantic, breathtaking, and has some hidden surprises which also describes Ashley & Chad perfectly!
Congratulations Ashley & Chad and thanks Rhonda for sharing! For more about Rhonda Giedt Photography, please visit her website.
