This beautiful engagement session comes to us from Jozef of Povazan Photography based in Vancouver, Canada! Here’s what he has to say about this photo shoot and the lovely couple:
Jana and Marek contacted us thanks to one of our friends who got to know them when they moved to Canada from Europe. They liked our wedding photography style from the start and when they realized we were Slovaks like themselves it did not take long before we were hired to photograph their destination wedding in Europe this year. They chose an amazing Vancouver wedding venue (Hycroft Manor, also known as Vancouver women club) for their engagement shoot.
See more after the cut!
The place has an amazing 19th century style with old fashion European architecture all over it. It was a joy to photograph here again, even the last couple who booked us to photograph their wedding here had European – Croatian roots. I like to keep my engagement session under 90 minutes so the couple does not get tired, but still I am able to create a mini story filled with love and emotions for them.
Like most of the times before, both Jana and Marek were a bit on the shy side at the beginning but they warmed up quite quickly and it was a joy to photograph them. Basically, what we did was a tour through this venue, room by room. The light was absolutely amazing during this early winter day with plenty of yellow leaves in the gardens giving us a nice ambient touch though the windows. If you ever need a vintage style venue in Vancouver then look no further. Just make sure you book them well in advance as they have around 50 weddings per year so popular dates are gone quickly.
Congratulations Jana & Marek and thank you Jozef for sharing! On the hunt for a wedding photographer in Vancouver, Canada? Please visit their website for more information.
