Every cloud has a silver lining as you can you can see from today’s real wedding brought to us by Alison Kundratic Photography, based in Shawano, Wisconsin! Here’s what Alison has to say about the wedding:
Amanda and Tyler’s wedding day took place on Saturday September 28, 2013 in Wausau, WI. What started as a sunny but windy day quickly turned into a windy monsoon style rain storm.
See more after the cut!
Amanda and Tyler were married at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Schofield WI, and Amanda’s grandparents were actually the FIRST couple to say “I Do” in that same church many years ago. Embracing the day, we decided to press on and after the ceremony we headed to a field for photographs with the bridal party; but after standing outside for a quick five minutes with umbrellas flipping inside out due to the high winds, we decided to take our chances for some photographs in downtown Wausau, where the buildings could shield us a bit from the rain.
We were a lot more successful with photographs in town, and these photos not only tell the craziness of the day, but also the love that Amanda and Tyler share (even in the midst of everything that was happening around them). All of the details of the reception at the Jefferson Street Inn were hand-made by the bride with the help of her bridesmaids.
Evolutions in Design created the gorgeous bouquets and other flowers provided, and Sweet Nothings Bakery crafted their wedding cake. Instead of opting for traditional black tuxes, the groom and groomsmen wore brown tuxes that complimented the bridesmaids periwinkle dresses with brown sashes.
Congratulations Amanda & Tyler and thank you Alison for sharing! For more information about Alison Kundratic Photography, please visit her website.
